Lends a little more credence to those rumors coming from him.

@mikejurecki: Hearing Logan Thomas 6'6 248 is valued more of a TE then QB at the next level. It will be interesting to see where he's drafted & position.

Can't say that I disagree

He doesn't exactly say the Cardinals view him as a TE, though. Would Arians have worked him out as a QB with Keim and Moore also reportedly in attendance if they view him as a TE? Maybe. It doesn't surprise me that most of the league would view him that way.

Wonder how he would take it if a team drafted him to play TE. He has said something to the effect of not being willing to play anything other than QB.

Great way to develop a QB when he doesnt take up a roster spot there

Two birds, one stone etc

He is a massive human being

If there is one spot we have reason to doubt Keim it at QB. He was a big part of the decision making around Skelton and Kinsley, two big armed guys with accuracy issues.

How much information do we actually have about how involved Keim was in the decision to draft Skelton and Lindley? And how sure are we that their failures weren't due to lack of development under Whisenhunt as opposed to being purely due to poor talent evaluation? And if you buy into combine velocity numbers even a little bit, neither had a strong arm at all.

Both of those guys were late round picks. I don't think much was expected of them anyways. Especially not from Lindley who clearly was not ready.

You are always going to get a lot of input from your right hand man, the 2IC in the front office. He would have been heavily involved in the process of ranking both those QBs. The leg work and initial evals are all done by the team of scouts we have, which remained unchanged with the promotion of Keim.

Of course there are development aspects and the like involved, especially with QBs, but what one can say without a doubt is that AZ has not drafted a quality QB in close to 15 years. That is not a good record.

That's true, but we don't know what went on in the front office. It's possible Skelton or Lindley could have been one of Whiz's guys. You don't think it's at least possible Whiz could have enough pull to convince Graves to draft his guy in the 5th-6th round to develop even if the scouts and Keim aren't necessarily on board? We don't really know what kind of grades they had on Skelton or Lindley, just that they drafted them in the 5th and 6th rounds.

And I'm sure Bruce is going to have a lot of say in picking his guy. Developing a QB is a big part of the reason they hired him in the first place. Whether or not that's a good thing is still up in the air.

Cardinals reportedly brought in Lonnie Ballentine in for a visit. 6'3" safety from Memphis. Size, speed, and leaping numbers from his pro day look good, agility numbers not so much. Not a lot of video on the guy out there either.

Here is a list of the prospects that the Cardinals have (this list is from walterfootball.com)

Cassius Marsh, DE, UCLA: has a nice mix of speed and power, his big problem is that he has false started ALOT in key situations. it can be fixed but he frustrated UCLA a few times last year. probably a third day choice.

First of all, thank you to Holeman for providing this all in one, comprehensive list. Much appreciated.

This is very, very interesting. I was told during the combine by my source that the team has legitimate, strong interest in Marsh and I was told specifically to keep it semi-quiet. I shared the information with Khodder and Plucky in private messages well over a month ago (I consider both men to be stand up guys and friends so I helped them out with a little juice) but didn't tweet it outright out of respect. Now that it's out there, I guess it's ok to speak about. Do not be surprised to see this kid as a day 3 Cardinal pick or a high, high priority UDFA....

That's pretty interesting about Marsh. I'll have to give him a look.

Cardinals either brought in or are going to bring in Phillip Gaines for a visit according to Tony Pauline. Long athletic corner that's getting pretty underrated in the media.
