Meh. Better than having Kellen Moore as the #2 guy. And should give some time for us to potentially draft a #3 guy to develop and groom to be the future #2 after this year.

He's not a terrible backup. He just made a bad mistake while playing on a bad Lions team. Unfortunately for him it'll haunt him forever. It's not a bad depth move, and I don't think the Lions stop there in their hunt for a backup QB and/or long term project type guy.

I like the move.

I am a big Hill fan but understand the economics of it. Orlovsky is cheaper and, "The Play," isn't definitive of his ability.

I think it indicates the Lions may look at a development QB in the draft but at least this signing removes the pressure.

I like the signing. Always did like the kid, he just wasn't cut out to be a starter on a team that bad. As for "the play," I give him credit for only going a few steps out of the back of the end zone. If Jared Allen is chasing me, I'm running all the way down the tunnel....

Knock on wood that Stafford plays all 16.

I'm not sure how this is better than Moore at #2. Dan O has proven he can't win at this level, so how is that better than someone who hasn't proven it. I'm not saying we should go into the season with. Moore as the primary backup, but I just don't see Dan O offering anything to this team.
