After mulling over the decision for the last couple weeks, Kenny Britt finally decides to join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.

Adam Schefter wrote:
Rams' 1-year deal with former Titans WR Kenny Britt includes $550K guaranteed.

With a contract like that, I don't see how anyone could view this as a bad move. It could work out very nicely.

Let's hope the knee is fine. He has a ton of upside and he is almost the same age as Quick.

It checked out with the medical staff.

This move is no surprise.

It didn't with the Patriots medical staff, that gives me pause.

Even if his knee is healthy he'll never warrant the money. Over rated WR who will just take snaps away from the young guys.

I like the signing. Its a win win and if he is not good, he gets cut. Pretty simple.

What!?

The sheer potential that we could get a #1 Wideout at even 80% of what he once was is worth WAY more than $1.4 million

Im not saying he will, but he definitely could be. This signing is a very good ratio of risk to reward.

His best year was 45 receptions. The most games he's started in a year is 11. This guys been collecting pay checks off his potential for five years and laughing to the bank the whole way. He's had what 12 run ins with police? Sounds like a guy I wouldn't want to pay to have in my WR room with all those young guys already in there.

I'd gladly pay 1.5 million for 45 catches and 700 yards.

Plus the 9 TDs he happened to add that conveniently got left out...

It's a low risk/high reward type signing. No issues with it at all...

If he takes playing time away from someone so be it. These guys need to start getting challenged/pushed. The competition is the better for the team...

As a Hawks fan take him. He quit several times on the Titans, has multiple run ins with the law, and was overall not a good leader on that team let alone good for the locker room (because of quitting).

If the Titans picked him with an expectation of passing on WRs early and putting him in as #1/#2 from day 1, go for it. Fine for me. I think if anything it hurts the Rams. So he had a couple 700 yard seasons... the crap he brings along with it is not worth it. A for the money, D for the player. Overall a B-/C+ from me.

Say I'm a Hawks fan, I'm jealous (lol... no) whatever. I was entertaining Britt at one point but then just thought, "No, not that desperate." Austin would've made more sense, at least he puts in 100%, and he might as well just be injured as much.

IMO Rams should just draft Watkins at #2 and best OL at #14 or secondary, and fill whatever they didn't in round 2 (or trade up a bit).

Rams draft Watkins, now I'm nervous as a Hawks fan.

Decent run game
Improved O-Line (since you use the second 1st to grab an immediate starter, it's top 15 after all)
Watkins #1
Austin (SLOT) where he should be, aka Harvin type role
Long healthy (chance)

o.O

Then

Quinn
Long
Brockers
Ogeltree
Lauranitis
Secondary 1st round pick

O.O

With the crap wide receivers the NFC West has and the mediocre cast in the AFC West you don't need THAT much help this year.

Watkins keeps pressure off Bradford too. Watkins, Quick, Austin. Even Seattle might have trouble stopping that.

Watkins is the best WR prospect to come out since Johnson. Put him on the Rams and the NFC West defenses start paying attention. Until then, meh.

Probably wont reach his potential but at least we are adding something to our WR core i guess.
