The Avs winning the cup will take a little bit of sting out of... well not really, but it would be nice. Wink

I hate the Bruins but they're a fun watch. Hate the Flyers even more but like to watch Giroux and Brayden Schenn.

B's might wear themselves out prematurely the way they play (always looking to fight). That takes a toll, we'll see how long they last in the playoffs playing that way.

Bruins are the only team in the East that can win the cup, Pens obviously are dangerous but Fleury is a disaster in the playoffs.

That's not true at all. It's the NHL, and much like the NCAA Tournament, the hot team is the most dangerous, especially a hot goalie.

I picked the Kings a few years ago before the playoffs started. They were hot going in, and that year is the year Quick had firmly established himself as a top 3 goalie. That team was an 8 seed that no one gave a shot.

The NHL playoffs are the closest thing in pro sports to the shock value of the NCAA tourney. It is really a new season, and it's completely wide open when it begins.

I write the Pens off because of Fleury, he's a bad goalie and their D isn't good enough for playoff hockey.

I agree the west is much better, but teams come out of nowhere frequently in NHL playoffs.

After Boston and Pitt there just isn't many great teams, Habs can make a run but Price is like Fleury in the playoffs, Tampa could as well but overall the West have the better 1-6 seeds.

Avs aren't there just yet, maybe in 2 seasons they'll be a Cup contender. Needs Bigras and Siemens to develop first though.

Just based on floor/ceiling for the upcoming season, who would you keep: Ben Tate or Andre Ellington?
