NFL Draft

*Bryce Brown and a 2015 4th round pick are traded to Jacksonville for their 3rd round pick and 7th round pick

*The 22nd pick is traded to Cleveland for the 27th pick and a 3rd round pick

Round 1 (via Cle): Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt
-6'3 225 lbs
-With Jackson gone, WR becomes a new need. Matthews is my favorite receiver in this draft and I believe that hes the perfect player for this team.

*Our 2nd and 3rd round picks are traded to Washington for their 2nd round pick (#34 overall)

Round 2 (via Wash): Jeremiah Attachou DE/OLB Georgia Tech
-6'3 253 lbs
-One of the most overlooked pass rushers in this class. We trade up to grab Attachou who fills another big need. Very athletic, good size, explosive off the edge. Attachou is a future stud.

Round 3 (via Jax): Will Clarke DE/OLB West Virginia
-6'6 271 lbs
-6 sacks and 17 TFL in 2013, Clarke is a big time player with big time production. He is a monster physically, and could either play DE or OLB. He supposedly looked very fluid in LB drills with us so we might plan to use him there. Either way, Clarke and Attachou should really improve our pass rush and depth alike.

Round 3 (via Cle): Nickoe Whitley S Mississippi State
-6'1 205 lbs
-This may not be a popular pick at the time and will probably be considered a reach by many here, but Whitley is another overlooked guy who I think has a ton of talent and potential. Hes big, versatile (can play any safety spot) and creates turnovers. He played well against tough competition in the SEC last year with 5 ints and 55 tackles, with notably impressive performances against Auburn and Texas A&M. He has good range and can be our centerfield playmaker at safety.

Round 4: Justin Ellis NT Louisiana Tech
-6'2 330 lbs
-Ellis is a big, space eating lineman who was overlooked.due to the level of competition he played against. Should give us great depth up front and maybe even push Logan for the starting NT spot in 2014

Round 5 (via NE): Josh Huff WR Oregon
-5'11 195 lbs
-We need more depth at WR, and Huff very least gives us that. He was a big time playmaker at Oregon and played under Chip in 2012.

Round 7 (via Jax): Andrew Jackson ILB Western Kentucky
-6'1 230 lbs
-Big, physical, thumper of a linebacker. Great value here. Doesnt offer much in the pass game but can be a great run stuffing ILB maybe.

Round 7: Andrew Norwell G/OT Ohio State
-6'6 330 lbs
-Versatile lineman. Can maybe push Herremans in camp, if not this year then in 2015.

UDFAs
Colt Lyerla TE
Keith Price QB
Jeff Budzien K
Andre Debose WR
Isaiah Crowell RB

Very nicely done, I like. If Attaochu was already off the board, Marcus Smith should still be available there. I really hope we wind up taking Josh Huff too, I think he's going to make a great slot receiver.

You've given Brown a high-3rd value (approx. 3/10-12).
Forget about the 3rd/4th nonsense.
Brown for a 6th and re-do.

I keep on saying this, but people think I'm mad.

You're not going to get value for a RB (unless you're Cleveland) and you're not going to get value for a backup player (unless its a QB)

Love Nickoe Whitley. How do you not mention that he played the majority of last year with a torn ACL? He wanted to wait to get surgery until after the season because he didn't want to quit on his teammates. That said, because he will start the season on the PuP list he's not going in the 3rd.

Eh it depends on the team. Bryce and a 4th for a 3rd isnt crazy.

Id rather have him if need a RB than any in this class with the exception of maybe Ka'Deem Carey
