All these signings are giving me the impression that we are drafting BPA in May. I am starting to dig this new GM dude.

I like the signing and I like the direction Hickey is taking the team. I think he's done a solid job thus far, with few exceptions. Looking forward to what he does with the draft. My hope is we can find either a Guard or Tackle, or perhaps both, before the draft. I'd like to be able to focus on BPA rather than needs.

A prove it deal. I think we win with prove it deals. No long term risk, we likely get a driven player, an hand up on resigning them next year if they succeed and usually a fair price. I'm loving this signing. He can contribute in the pass game and the running game, and he's an okay blocker.

Moreno's off season knee procedure had him looking like the 1st round selection he was for the first time in his career. If the experimental procedure he had done is the fountain of youth his knee needed, we could have an elite player. If not, we look elsewhere next year and its no harm, no foul. Nice work, Hickey/Philbin.

Some questions.

1) Will Moreno be the number 1 back?

2) Will we adopt a running back by committee approach?

3) What does the future look like for Daniel Thomas?

Maddogg, my responses/guesses would be:

1) Yes, Moreno is the #1.
2) I'd guess 15-17 touches for Moreno, 5-7 for Miller.
3) Who cares what happens to Daniel Thomas?

1) I believe he will be and they will either put a rookie as a change of pace back or use Miller in that role.

3) The future for Thomas is already dark. The latest depth chart brought out by Philbin showed Gillislee ahead of him

1 year, $3 million. As I said in the NFL News thread, I love it. He'll be a 3-down back for us that is an immediate upgrade over anyone we have. He'll also help Tannehill in the passing game being that he's a good receiver out of the backfield and pass blocker.

hard to say who will be the starter. Miller has shown flashes, but didnt have a very good line blocking for him either. Also was a bit weak in pass blocking. Moreno has had durability issues in his carreer, so jury still out on that. They will atleast push each other and split carries, but id look for moreno to be in the game more cus of his blocking.

DT will prolly be cut/traded either in training camp or during preseason.

Hooray!!!!! Maybe we will finally get rid of Daniel Thomas. I hated the pick when we drafted him, and unfortunately he didn't do enough to make me eat my words.
