Assuming a trade-down is not an option - I'd go with Hageman. Clinton-Dix is certainly and option, as is Kony Ealy, but I like the versatility and potential of Hageman.

I think Hageman is going to get pick up in between picks 16-20, so if we trade down we will have to trade back up for him in my opinion. Ideal trade down scenario would be:

1st rd R. Hageman
2nd rd D. Bucannon
2nd rd K. Martin
3rd rd K. McGill

This is if we can get Hageman at pick # 30. That would be ideal to me.

Well look at Windy's original question and then answer again. I'm not going based on what I think will happen in the actual draft, I was just answering given the options and players already selected in his scenarios.

Hey hey I was not poking at your statement, I was just giving my opinion. Lighten up. Maybe I shouldn't have quoted you. My bad.

I didn't mean that to sound harsh I'm just saying given Windy's scenarios that's who I'd take at those spots. Speculating where any player will go at this point including Hageman is a crap shoot.

Yeah you're right, it is a craps shoot. Forgive me though, I'm AMPED UP OFF THIS STARBUCKS WOOOO! Lol. I think even given the need at DT, we have to come away with D. Bucannon. He strikes as a 10 year pro that can impact the game mentally and physically. Also Detroit is not picking up the option for Nick Fairley next season. Maybe trade down and get Tuitt even with the foot injury. Don't think it will hold him back though. I'm still on the Hageman in the 1st rd and D. Bucannon in the 2nd bandwagon and I'm good with the rest of the draft because I believe in you Emery...... (joyful tear drop)

What would people's reactions be if we took Hageman at 14 over Clinton-Dix?

I'm obviously fine with it. There are enough safeties in this draft that we can still get a good one in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

I think we need an impact player at DT more than we do at Safety.

If it means standing pat with what we currently have at safety I'd be pretty disappointed. If we then take a guy like Jimmie Ward in the 2nd then I'd be okay with it. Not thrilled, but okay. I don't see Hageman with value there though.

I'd go Hageman for both.
