I thought we would start a thread and "try" to keep everyone's mock drafts in this thread. Since the major additions of free agency are over for us, I think it's time to focus back on the draft and do some mock drafting boys! Cool

Here is my latest idea:

34. Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee
66. Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt
98. Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska
130. Bryan Stork, C, FSU
162. Max Bullough, ILB, MSU
193. Ben Gardner, DE, Stanford

Get some practice here guys as I'll try to come up with a mock draft competition for the real thing as we get closer to the draft.

Good! Wish a high round safety there

I also think we draft archer or Reese earlier than everyone expects to get a returner and playmaker on offense. I could see us drafting the Oregon back in rounds 2 or 3

I'd be totally shocked if we took a running back at all and be even more shocked if we overdrafted Archer, Reese or Thomas two or 3 rounds high, just to make sure we "got them" at best those three are 4th round picks, more likely 5th or 6th round guys.

I think we'd be better off getting bigger younger OL & DL, getting a young CB with size to develop as our #4 who can play special teams and get a steal of a young defensive end who we can develop to be a starter. Anderson would be a 3rd round pick (at worst) if he didn't tear his pectoral muscle last year. We also need another young ILB to develop who has starting potential and I didn't select one, but another mid round pass rushing OLB to develop wouldn't shock me either, before another scat back/possible slot WR who will primarily just be a return man and needs a special package instituted into our offensive game plan so he can see time on offense.

2nd Jordan Mathews WR Vandy
3rd Deone Buchanon SS Wash St
4th James Hurst OT UNC
5th Devon Street WR Pitt
6th Russell Bodine C/OG UNC
7th Max Bullough ILB MSU

I think we double dip at WR... I think Mathews has potential to be a true #2WR. I think Street is a better version of Hankerson. He is not quite as fast but has better hands, runs better routes, and is fearless over the middle.

Garçon, Mathews, Roberts, Street, Robinson

Moss won't make it through camp and Hankerson remains IR

I think Hurst could start for us day one if he has healed from his broken leg! Bodine will be our future center in this scenerio.

Buchannon and Meriweather would make an excellent safety duo! Players would think twice before going across the middle!

This Mock is with the understanding that Calvin Pryor and Kyle Fuller both go round one! If either were to fall major changes would be made!!

NFL draft tek had him in the late 2nd round. They do an average of all nfl mock draft sites to make their mock drafts. So, that's what I used.

It's not wrong, but personally, I loathe link aggregators like Bleacher Report. Especially when they just put their banner at the top of the page of someone else's work. Yes, they are giving credit, but I feel its duplicitous to use them when they just pass you through to somewhere else.

If you find original content on BR, then post it. Otherwise, I'd say just link through to the original site. In this case:

http://www.hogshaven.com/2014/3/21/5531200/redskins-mock-draft-roundup-5-0

As for the actual possibilities, I would focus mainly on Morgan Moses (no, that's not because I'm a Hoo ... we need a quality right tackle), Ryan Shazier, or C.J. Moseley if he actually fell to us. I can understand the fascination with Kelvin Benjamin, but my concern is his lack of focus (too many drops, balls coming into his chest) and his route running.

While I suspect what I'm about to say won't be that popular, I'd avoid anyone in the secondary that they mention with the exception of Clinton-Dix (I doubt he'll be available). I'm not saying our secondary is good, or even mediocre. I just feel we have to grab someone that will be a long term solution for the future of the team. Yes, we might find the next great corner in Kyle Fuller or Jason Verrett, but I'm not sure that's going to help for a decade (note how many top corners change teams, as opposed to top middle linebackers or offensive linemen).
