Ive read somethings on Twitter about Misi possibly moving to Middle linebacker.. I think i also read it on the miamiherald.com but i'm not sure..

What do you guys think about this move? Do you think it could solve some of the linebacker problems?

There is a really good possibility that a Linebacker will be drafter early this year.

Havent heard of this move yet but I would think it would work to have Ellerby back to the weak side

If it means that we draft Ryan Shazier to be our OLB then I am all for it.

Hopefully we can trade back 8-10 picks & acquire some extras first, haha.

Misi is our best linebacker. I'm glad he is moving inside.

with Misi move to MLB can D.Jordan switch to SOLB ?

than we have our 3 overall pick from last year on the field.

Wake---Odrick---Starks---Vernon

Jordan--------Misi--------Ellerbe

nice front 7 in my eyes.

Thats alotta hope or coaching for Jordan. If you ever watched him in college he was not that good dropping into coverage. So its like is he going to be a 2 down SOLB at the most or can they get him better as far as coverage.

I always felt Koa Misi could be a fit at MLB, even moreso than OLB. Would be an interesting experiment.

This could potentially work out great, Misi is great against the run

I think it could work, but I also think just having some continuity at the LB positions will show some team defense improvement.

I know a lot of people are disappointed with Ellerbe and Wheelers performance last season, but I'm not too concerned. If they are still underperforming throughout the first quarter of this season then I'll be concerned, and I can see Jordan easily replacing Wheeler if he doesn't step it up.

Man I totally hope this is a rumor .
Everyone is acknowledging what a great 4/3 OLB he's become.

Leave it alone!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't Dion Jordan be more suited to a hybrid WOLB / DE role? Yes, he covered TEs a few times last season but is that where we want to stick him primarily?

Man we just gotta come to grips with Deion hunting QBs in the backfield, end of story.
Let's address the root of all our offensive problems by exterminating it on the QBs 3rd step drop.

Misi got re signed or extended I think because he simply the BEST OLB we have at the moment. Why on earth should we create yet another void ?

just my opinion

I agree, and if we ran 3-4 looks with him as a WOLB that's what he would be doing (one would hope). He can play DE in the 4-3. Someone of his skillset you would like to be seen utilized correctly. I still have very high hopes for him, but I don't want him shoved in a box on defense, hopefully Coyle let's him out more this season.

EDIT

Side note, this team has the personnel to run 3-4 looks. We aren't we more of a hybrid defense with who we have in the front 7?

So many of our front 7 guys have experience in the NFL with multiple positions.

Mitchell: DT/NT
Starks: DT/NT/DE in both schemes
Jordan: DE/OLB
Wake: DE/OLB
Odrick: DT/DE in both schemes
Misi: DE/OLB

and I believe Wheeler has played as a 3-4 LBer in Oakland? Could be wrong.
