3yrs/$11m, according to Rapoport. We've got to be really tight against the cap now.

Especially considering Vince hasn't been cut or restructured yet and the Revis deal isn't announced yet and on the books.

Revis deal has been announced: He counts $7m against the cap.

As opposed to the 1yr 12m that was reported?

It's technically a 2 year deal:

I knew there was a 5m hit if we don't retain him and I heard 20m option for next season. I thought that made it seem more like a 2yr 16m deal. Thanks for posting the link Finn, glad we were able to maneuver the hit a bit to allow more spending and help for the team.

Lafell played a lot of his snaps from the slot last season, so I'm interested in seeing how we use him. I like the signing. Carolina fans are trashing him but I think he can succeed here.

KT is no lock to make the roster, that's for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make the team.

I think KT will make it; not sure why everyone is dismissing him after only 1 year of play.

They have to trash him, because they have no other WRs to speak of Laughing

Because he is a guy with almost no upside or potential.

Broncos deal for Emma Sanders is 3y/$15m

makes me feel a bit better about the LaFell deal.

Pretty much. Unless something happens miraculously the guy we are currently seeing is the guy he is.

He's a good guy, he's working hard but it's just tough. We can't carry 9 wideouts lol. I'm intrigued in Mark Harrison stil and if he can make any noise in OTAs.

On Lafell

I'm so unsure about this I'm unsure. I might just sit there and rewatch Carolina but guh whenever I watched him I was unimpressed. If we just cut him in camp are there any hits towards the cap?

They're only paying LaFell an AAV of $3.66 million. Little more than I would have liked to go, but it's not awful, and I'm sure they can jump out of the contract after a year without much damage, since I doubt they gave him a huge bonus.

Pretty sure they have one of those "get out" clauses and are able to cut him if he doesn't show enough to make the team, like they seem to with all WRs brought in.

I still think if he had never torn his ACL he could've been a good WR.

I'd take LaFell over Sandersw/ that deal, especially since he has incentivesto get it to 18mill.

I'm much higher on Harrison than him or Boyce and Boyce has ST value Thompkins doesn't.

Because he's not very good and has little apparent upside. He looks like he can stick in the league for a few years as a #3 or #4 WR but he doesn't have much going for him.

Had he shown excellent hands last year, maybe it's another story. But his hands were mediocre at best and neither his awareness nor route running seemed to be especially good. And he's not really a physically gifted guy.
