And now Patriots have reached agreement on a three-year deal with former Panthers WR Brandon LaFell, per source.

3 years is a lot. Hopefully the guaranteed money isn't prohibitive.

I like it, though would have preferred Avant.

His hands are shaky but he adds some size to the WR corps.

I like it too. Like Lafell over Avant not a burner but more speed than Avant.

Did not realize LaFell posted a 6.81 3-cone drill time.

That has to be the first thing BB looks at when scouting WRs.

TJ Moe
Anthony Gonzalez
Kevin Kasper
Tiquan Underwood
Josh Boyce
Greg Salas
Julian Edelman
Deion Branch
Chad Jackson

all posted sub-6.75 times in the 3-cone.

He's a decent WR. He's basically a posession WR for us. Hands are questionable and seems to disappear, for games at a time. That could be attributed though to Steve Smith's inability to pass the torch though.

Edelman hat a 6.62 but yeah being quick is definitely important to Belichick. 3 cone is probably the workout number ilook at themost for WRs tbh.

Who would you rather have?

Sanders or LaFell?

Tough because both play so much slot which so do Julian and Dola. I guess LaFell due to size. His size would help more in the RZ.

Sanders, but I don't think the gap is huge. And Sanders seemed to take a step back last year.
