Think

Yuck. Hopefully, like the other guys who visited, he leaves without a contract
He's a schmuck, but I don't see the risk. It's not like there's gonna be a bidding war for him, so he's almost certainly gonna be a vet minimum guy. I'd be fine with that.

There's always a risk to carrying turds like Britt on your roster (and presumably they'd pick him up with the idea that maybe he makes the final roster). If you cut a guy like Thompkins because Britt has a great camp and then Britt reverts back to his immature turd self, you're now scrambling for a WR.
Eh. Seems like a lot of dominoes have to fall into place for such a scenario to play out. Some pretty unlikely.

The only dominoes are that he makes the roster and then turns into a turd. The former might be unlikely but the latter seems quite likely.

Well, you're also presupposing Thompkins being the guy they'd cut in favor of Britt if he makes the roster, and also Thompkins otherwise being worth retaining.

Anyway, it looks like LaFell is the guy they're going with, so this is all moot.

Ick. Id rather take a chance on Britt with a one year deal simply because he actually has potential. LaFell's ceiling is an average #2 and nothing more

I don't hate Lafell but like a few others, I would rather have Britt. Low risk/ high reward signing. If he screws up or if his injuries have truly damaged him for good, just cut him. We lose nothing.

Either Thompkins or Boyce would have to go if Britt made the team. And both of them are better than the practice squad or street free agent garbage they'd be able to sign to fill Britt's spot if he had to be dumped for character issues.

Lafell and/or Britt are probably just camp competition for Boyce and Thompkins. Britt is a head case, but he's still only 25 and does have potential. I'm ok with signing him if its a 1-year cheap deal.

LaFell's hands are inconsistent, but I'd take him in a heartbeat over Thompkins.

I know Lafell didnt grade out very well last year by PFF but I like him. He was good against the Pats and I liked him the other times I saw him.

I suddenly am a lot more excited about this signing.

I'd prefer Britt to LaFell in all honesty. LaFell just doesn't excite me at all.

Someones going to be the odd man out at WR and I think theres a good chance we cut Boyce in year 2 if we don't see growth.

That would sadden me. Rather it be KT, of whom I see no room for improvement

LaFell has been the better player the last few years.

Unless Kenny Britt is capable of returning to pre-injury form, he's not a guy who belongs in the league. Because the last few years he's shown marginal skills and huge character flaws.

Agreed, both have shaky hands but Boyce has much better physical tools.

Highly doubt they cut Boyce over Thompkins given draft status, age, and upside.

Age is a factor I forgot about. He will already be 26 come week 1
