This is just an unformed guess/perspective but I wonder if stepping in behind Hall of Fame tackle Jonathan Ogden was just too much pressure to bear. Maybe a fresh start might do wonders for him.

I do not like this signing or the Whitehurst signing, but I will give Oher a chance to work himself back into our good graces. Don't eff it up Michael. Shocked

I don't really get all the hate for this signing. I mean, I'm not jumping for joy, but it's really not a giant commitment and he's a guy that has shown potential. He's coming in to play right tackle, and knows that. He's not going to have a coaching staff that flops him from one side to the other five times in the first few years of his career

At the very least, he's another young, talented piece on an offensive line that should have an opportunity to really gel over the next couple years.

This. Additionally, I've seen a lot of hate for our offseason in general (more so on another website which shall not be named, but some here too) and I don't get it. I think we've done a fine job so far.

I like the off-season overall. I just dislike this signing. I don't think he brings anything to the table that Stingily doesn't. And we could have had Austin Howard for just a million more per year if we wanted to bring in an FA that badly.

I'm not the biggest fan of Oher, but you just have to hope a change of scenery will do him well. Coming back home might help as well. Problem with him in Baltimore imo had to do with them constantly moving him back and forth between RT and LT. I hope we put him at RT and just leave him there.
