We could have done worst. Always optimistic about players until I see them suck in Titans blue for myself.

He is going to be part of an unit that I think on paper is very solid.

LT Roos
LG Levitre
C Schwenke
RG Warmack
RT Oher

There are worst combos in the league. As a whole, I'll take that.

Jake will be dead by Week 5 with that right side of the line. No pass-blocking at all.

Warmack improved quite a bit towards the end of the year, not really worried about him.

Oher is an issue though.

Well, I'm interested to see the money breakdown. It may end up being like a 2 year deal in reality or something.

Regardless, I guess they see something wrong with Stingliy. Maybe he is just a star among the fans... like a Jonathan Orr..lol

But outside of drafting an 1st round OT, there weren't many better options in FA.

Again interested in seeing the money breakdown. Because I'm not a fan of the money. But it comes to be something like 1 yr deal with only 2 million truly guaranteed and the rest roster bonuses and what not, i can call this a win of a deal.

Will get your hopes up as he is displayed as such a dominate force in that movie. But will also get you closer to reality with some of his after the play blocking penalties that aren't called in the movie

I'm going to try and look at the bright side. Maybe a fresh start for his hometown team is what he needs. Having said that, this is the only signing thus far I'm not to thrilled about.

Man oh man. I go to work and you guys let this happen? Laughing

All I can say is I hope a change of scenery will do him some good. Different coaches, different teammates, etc. Hopefully it does him some good. I woulda rather had Stingily and drafted an OT. Speaking of which...

We have covered some needs in FA in LB and OT. Could free us up to fulfill my dream and take ASJ in the 2nd round. Cool Wright, McCluster, Hunter, Washington, Walker, ASJ. So many mismatches could be made.

I think we take an OLB in the 1st whether it's at 11 or trade down then go BPA in the 2nd.

I hate this signing. Why? Because it's 1 thing to be athletic as an offensive lineman, it's 1 thing to have bad technique, because that can be taught.
But Orr struggles because of 2 things, bad footwork (FUQ)it he has no footwork. & IQ. He doesn't recognize blitzes or stunts.
This offseason sucks

Fantastic signing. He will be the player that people envisioned coming out of college.

I'd I like the signing.

He's cheaper than big country and with the increased cap numbers in the following years, worth the risk. He is young and can play both tackle spots. It also allows us to be more flexible with our Draft picks.

Think I mentioned this as a possibility forever ago.

I'm not overly excited, but I'm not too down on it either. He's probably an upgrade over Stewart, but not much of one and likely not for the money we're paying him.

Eh.

Better then Stew TBH.

I think our Oline will be solid. I also think Warmack will be very improved with a solid C beside him for a full year.

I see a lot of negative comments but I personally like this signing. We got a starting RT now again and o line is not a need really now so we can focus elsewhere the rest of free agency and the draft. I know pro football focus and all that didn't grade him out well last year but the entire ravens line at times looked pretty bad. Not fair to just blame Oher.

I think the change of scenery will help and I think he and Warmack on the right side will do well. I really love our o line now personally.

On another note I think the media needs to get over the Blind Side already. One thing for fans to poke fun but seriously they should be more objective and professional than they are coming across. I mean Oher himself has come out saying he doesn't care for the movie and doesn't care for the limelight. That movie was a ton of Hollywood bs.

I say this because Oher should be talked about as the football player he is and he should just have to focus on that. Not on the constant media blind side comments which are not all that funny and cheesy.

Let's give Oher a chance here. I think he will be just fine.
