This sickens me.

Quote:
“@jwyattsports: The addition of Whitehurst is expected to signal the end for Ryan Fitzpatrick with the #Titans”

Just don't understand. Fitzpatrick may not be great but he's a far better player than this bum.

Awful. If we end up having to cut any decent player that actually could contribute positively this season to fit this bum's salary... I'll not be impressed.

I know they're small signings, but these past couple we've done add up far more than the likely contribution we'll see on the field.

Doubt very much is guaranteed. A lot of incentives most likely.

We're also not going to pay FitzMagic 500k roster bonus to battle for the #2 job either.

Not sure but I doubt that on that kind of a deal that there is no guaranteed money.....

Whitehurst fits Whiz's offense. Fitzpatrick doesn't.

Point. blank. period.

Whiz know's Locker is his QB in 2014. He also knows how injury prone he is. Whiz might not be able to choose his starter this year, but he's going to choose his own backup.

Whiz didn't want Fitz... I can understand that. He knows Whitehurst. I can understand wanting him instead.

Will wait for more details on the contract, but seems like an overpay.

At least we have someone who will know Whiz's offense I guess. Maybe will benefit Jake having him in the QB room.

Details per Wyatt;

$4 million base value, $2 million guaranteed, and $4 million in incentives.

Much better. Still, really hope he never steps on the field.

If that's correct, he'll probably count about 1.5M on the cap this year...

1M SB (guaranteed)
1M salary in '14 (guaranteed)
2M salary in '15
2M incentives in 14 (to be counted on '15 cap if reached)
2M incentives in 15 (to be counted on '16 cap if reached)

If it ends up being a 1 year deal, he gets 2M total, 1.5M cap hit this year and would carry only a 0.5M dead hit next year...

I don't like the signing, but that 2yr 8M deal is not to be believed. Actual numbers aren't as bad.
