Have no problem with this, even more depth for the pass rush. It's just good to know guys finally want to play here again Laughing

Meh, whatever. Clemons, Babin, Branch...IDK how we're going to fit a rookie or two in there too with Watson being able to play there as well as Davis.

I hope Branch overtakes Babin tbqh with Clemons coming in now. I want to see him get some more PT, can only continue to get better from here on out.

MORE PROOF JAGUARS ARE GOING QB AT #3!!! GAHHHHH!!!

Seriously though, I kind of hope he ends up getting cut during training camp because he gets beat out by younger guys and there is just no room for him on the team.

The Seahawks had waves of guys coming at teams at LEO. I think we're going with the "more pass rusher the better" philosophy. This is also why I think Mack is a great fit for us. He could play LEO on certain downs but could also be used as LB the rest of the time. Clowney would "just" be another guy in the que for LEO.

I hope that happens kinda too tbh. I like Babin, but i'd rather see Branch be the focal #2 guy behind Clemons. Than with Watson being added, he will likely play WLB most of the time but he also will get some snaps at LEO i'm sure. Ryan Davis figures to get some snaps there too. To go along with that, I doubt we go all draft without getting another young guy at LEO...I just don't see much reason for him with Clemons back.

Jason Babin had 7.5 sacks last year. He is more than welcome back.

I don't think it's that malicious. He knew they weren't going to keep him at that price so voided it early so he wouldn't have to wait around a whole week with the writing on the wall. He's said the whole time he'd like to stay and would be willing to restructure his contract to stay.

Getting to be a bit of a logjam at rush end. It'll be interesting if Dave decides to take another at 3.

You can never really have enough though.

true, with so many additions to the DL, are we really thinking of going that way in the 1st round? I still hope so, but we added like 4-5 guys

At this point in time i think we are waiting to draft players on the defensive line until next year, which after all these signing is fine by me. We just have so many players on the defensive line it would pretty much be a waste to draft another linemen that might not even see the field. Lets build depth elsewhere come the draft.

That's why I think it's more so between Bridgewater/Mack at this point. Mack is versatile and good in coverage so he wouldn't count as a LEO, would likely be put at LB. With these signings (unless we plan to for some stupid reason move Branch, or we decide to cut Babin before the season) I just don't see where Clowney would fit in. Obviously he has superior talent to any of these guys, but a guy like Mack has serious talent too and more versatile, making him a better fit if we did go defense at #3.
