I would call it more of a want than a need

It is a need, but a small one. We need an inline blocker (Ben Harstock type), but I agree with bpastermack, a starting all around TE is a want more than a need.

we have far bigger needs. At this point it's more of trying to upgrade the position than trying to fill a void. Clay and Simm should be fine for next year, and im sure they could prolly sign keller to a 1 year deal if he's healthy enuff.

I hope we take a TE in a later round 5+

Arthur Lynch (from Georgia 6-5/ 258)
Joe Duncan (Dixie State)
AC Leonard (Tenn State) 7th round or better

I really like Crockett Gillmore TE Colorado State, in the later rounds.

A need? No. We need 3 more starters on the offensive line, and a 2nd corner.

I think we will ( at some point ) re-sign Clabo at RT and we draft an OG ( Z.M )

As most have said, I dont see it as the top priority, but I do say its a need. 2 TE's is helpful to any team, and Clay is a liability as a blocker. A blocking TE can help us with our running game and cover the holes we have on our line. So for me, it is a need, just not the top need.

I really like Clay but he is inconsistent with his production (could simply be our entire offense) and is a liability as a blocker; he is much better suited for a number two role. For our team, we have a talented enough receiving core and a talented enough player where TE isn't the biggest need. So to answer your question, it's more of a want. We need to focus on the offensive line before anything else.

Like everyone else said, another TE is not a big deal. We could use another one to ensure more blocking, but besides that Our teams look comfortable in the spread.

I think we need a backup pass catching TE. An upgrade over Egnew. It was supposed to be Keller, and the easy fix would be to try to resign him.

LOVE Crockett Gilmore think hes a better version of Fasano and brings a grit to the game, same with Joe Don.

First we need to define "want" and "need." By my definition, a "need" is to replace a player who is a liability to the team or, at minimum, who's replacement could produce 1-2 more wins.
Since Sims was ranked 129 out of 134 overall and 124 out of 134 in Run Block, I'd call that a liability. And Egnew is a worse run blocker. Add in neither even remotely proved to be a weapon as a receiver and I think the question is settled.
Now the question becomes HOW BIG of a need. IMHO, low. Still 2-3 OL and CB needs (I'm not confident in Finnigan). Still have needs at OLB and or ILB, receiver, RB, FB, DT, safety, depending on who is evaluating. I would argue TE (particularly a big, strong red-zone type) is a need, but not a top need.
