Obviously we're not going to sign all three safeties or all three CBs. But those are guys I'd like to see us go after

Yeah, he's one I'd consider on a cap friendly deal given some of his issues.

That makes no sense. We had roughly $30M before franchising Rak and re-signing Riley. We had just under $19M before the start of FA yesterday. Did we really spend over $11M yesterday?

Rich Tandler @Rich_TandlerCSN

From WaPo’s $8.7 mil cap space number you can add in $2.5 million for players moved off of the top 51. So more like $11.2 mil. #RedskinsTalk

Source? They've been negotiating a deal, but I haven't seen them actually sign him.

Major Wright could work.

Not sure how great he is in coverage but he is a good tackler. That cannot be understated for a team that like the Skins who were just dreadful in that department.

I honestly don't think we've changed our off season ways. I'm starting to believe that players and agents probably just don't want to come here with how dysfunctional we havebeen. Because you have seen all the reports saying we're interested in people and then they sign elsewhere.

Per insiders alot of players think we are toxic. We will have to play with basically the same tram and some additions with the draft. Next year will be playoff type season this year ir developing rg3

I alluded to this yesterday. I think there is some truth to it.

True-- many players are entering FA with the flaw of an (Off-year) with a new team, or struggled with a poor team before last year.
Going to a dysfunctional team can kill or shorten a player's career

Bruce Allen has been really good about not leaking targets to the press. With Cerrato everyone we wanted was known weeks before the FA market and Draft started.

I think the reports saying we are interested in someone are created by that player and his agent because the general public (including players and agents) still seem to think this is the team we were 5 years ago and we'll overpay for anyone. It's a way to force the team they are really going to sign with to give them more money.

Really, if you hear something (especially before the draft or before FA starts) it's almost never true anymore. When Gibbs v2 was here you knew EXACTLY who we were drafting in almost every round and you knew before FA who we were after. It really diminished out power in negotiations.

I'm going to call BS on this. Quite a few players have gone to Cleveland, who is even more dysfunctional than we are. Rodger Saffold went to Oakland (before he got rejected due to a failed physical).

The reason is that we're not spending like drunken sailors.
