Pretty disappointed we couldn't find a way to keep him around at that price.

He should thrive with Lovie in Tampa and easily be worth that deal. Very good corner getting his prime years, that's a great deal for the Bucs. At least he's in the NFC so I can still root for him.

Verner, Johnthan Banks, Dashon Goldson, Mark Barron, LaVonte David & Mason Foster behind a pass rush of Michael Johnson & Gerald McCoy? Yes.

Great Point...

Ball out Verner! I like the Bucs so I'll be cheering him on.

I live 45 minutes from the stadium. Glad to see the media and such excited about the team. Might have to go catch a game or two.

#Titans made a similar offer to CB Alterraun Verner before he eventually opted to take the deal tonight from the Buccaneers, sources say
Can't blame the FO then.

Verner hit it off with Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith in conversations, and was ready for a fresh start. #Titans made a late push to keep him
Disappointing but understandable. He's a smart guy, has no familiarity with the new staff and is, in theory, a far better for for Lovie than he would be for Horton.

Uh no. We knew we were going to lose Verner. We still have McCourty who is a very good CB. No need to draft a CB in the 1st to be our #2 CB.

We get a good enough one, McCourty can be our #2. Smile

No need when he's arguably a top 10 CB. No point in drafting a CB in round 1.

Can't go wrong with 2 shut down corners
1. Justin Gilbert
2. Demarcus Lawrence or Jeremiah Attaochu

I think Stingly is going to be our starting RT and with Barr running a 4.44 today I doubt he falls to us.

I doubt we go CB tho.. I wouldn't be mad if we did tho

I doubt that 4.44 has to much of an impact. Scouts know that UCLA has a fast track.

It's not arguably. He's definitely top 10. I'd argue top 5.

What he did last year was ridiculous, and Verner was given all the spotlight.

I don't want Verner back for 7 million per year. He's a good corner no doubt, but we have 2 other corners on our team that can play and Verner is overrated by some and underrated by some. I heard a random analyst on NFL Live call him a shutdown corner, which goes to show you that they don't actually watch any football... they just talk out of their arse.

I feel like I missed something this season. Where did all of this confidence in BWW come from? Laughing

I dunno.

I'd be more confident in Coty Sensabaugh than BWW, but even then I'm not terribly confident in him.
