Not a fan of bringing Carpenter back. Hopkins has proven he is the guy, hopefully it isnt expensive and that he can be cut without losing anything if hopkins beats him out.

How so? Hopkins spent all of last year on IR. Far from proven.

Because he beat out Lindell not to mention he had one of the best College careers in history for kickers. Not sure what you expect from the guy. Kicking in college and kicking in the pros is the same exact thing.

it really isn't.

And Hopkins proved nothing in camp except that he was the "drafted guy" Him and Lindell were even throughout camp. I was extremely disappointed with how Hopkins played last year during camp and pre-season.

Carpenter is just 28 and had a career year in Buffalo. Smart move.

He earned every penny of this contract with how he kicked against the Jets at the Ralph.

What's the big deal? Dude played really well and he got a contract, it's not like we're up against the cap or that the deal is insane.

Great move! Hopkins hasn't done anything yet (not saying he won't) but Carpenter played the best he has his whole career and has earned every penny.

Well for your carpenter fans he signed a 4 year deal worth 9.9 million glad you guys wanted him back cause thats alot of money for a kicker. The only good thing is only 2 mil is guaranteed to he could be cut if he sucks again.

Yeah I can't imagine he will see all four years of that unless he is just too good to cut. 2 mil is a lot per season for a kicker but he kept us in a lot of games last season.
