Welp, Christmas in March has arrived.

Will we be getting shiny new toys, or lumps of coal?

If you guys want to link the signings that have already happened, I will track them in this thread.

Jshowers, why don't you have Linval Joseph at NT?

I agree with your cb list.

Price and the requirements of the position. I don't think we need to shell out that much on Joseph, who is a penetrator/disruptive force. We just need a strong, reliable anchor.

Adam Caplan was just on KFAN and said that Soliai to Minnesota was "highly unlikely."

True. Joseph gives us the best of both worlds. A guy who can plug things up and be disruptive. Hard to find those types. I would have no issue shelling out 12 million bucks to sign Joseph and Brown/Carroll.

Pat sims is probably the must plausible option.

I'm interested in a seeing how Rajis market develops.

Dang. He's as solid as they come at NT. Super reliable. PFF star.

On Saturday it seemed like we were the favourites to sign every free agent out there. Now there are no rumours involving us whatsoever, strange how it got so quiet so fast. I hope we get something to be excited about today.

I have a feeling we'll make one solid splash and the rest will be the prove it sort of deals or guys coming off of their first contracts who haven't fully lived up to their potential. Raji is definitely a player I feel like would be a Spielman target if he can get him cheap enough. But I'm not sure we'll make a huge splash with free agent CB's or LB's, more the prove-it types of players.

Former NFL scout and current 95.7 The Game in San Francisco radio host John Middlekauff reports that the Falcons signing guard Jon Asamoah for $4.5 million a year is a “done deal.” There’s no word on how many years such a deal would run or how it would be structured in terms of guarantees.

Makes me nervous how the worst defense in the NFL gets much better w/o adding new players. coaches are important, but talent is what wins and loses games. And right now, they have insufficient talent. So far, all they've done is add one bad LBer. That's not likely to fix things. One good signing and bunch of prove its? Not sure how this team gets much better.

Buccaneers and Bengals free-agent DE Michael Johnson in "serious discussions."

i just don't see this being a big day for us like some are thinking. at least not today. no high priced players, maybe pick up some smaller contracts that will be depth. but that's just an itch i have, and i can't scratch it.
