So Butler is extended. We know that already. All praise be to TT.

Now we can add Stuckey to that number:

One of the best on ST in the NFL and looked solid at deep safety in brief time. Getting him for 4 years is great.

Hakeem Nicks has listed the Chargers as a team he wants to go to. He is also willing to take a one year "prove it" deal.....make it happen TT.

I'd love Nicks for a one year rental. I cant see him taking less then Royal.

Nicks for 1 year at $4-5 million? I could totally dig it. He or James Jones for a low end contract would be a good pickup.

Am I the only one that thinks Hakeem Nicks' inability to stay healthy coupled with our team's general ability to always be nicked up (pun intended) is a recipe for disaster?

Hey, Derek Cox reversed the curse this year, he just sucked. As long as we still add another receiver besides Nicks, I'd like the deal.

It is a concern, but on I willing to take that risk on a one year flyer.

I hope we talk to Matt Shaughnessy. He could probably be signed for a minimal deal and might be a good reserve as ROLB with possible starting potential.

2yrs, $6m, $2m guaranteed. Not a bad deal for Rinehart.

Not a FA signing, but it might make room for one

Chargers OLB Jarret Johnson has agreed to take a pay cut.
Johnson was previously scheduled to earn a $4 million base salary and count $5.5 million against the cap in the third year of a four-year, $19 million deal. The 32-year-old has recorded just 4.5 sacks in 26 games with the Chargers.

Awesome news. JJ clearly has his role on the team, but he was just too expensive. Getting him at a lower number is very nice.

He'd have to shed weight. He bulked up to play 5-Tech last season with the Cards. He's sitting in the high 270's/low 280's region right now.

JJ only cleared $1 million in cap space, but that's better than nothing.
