Although Ben Tate will be a good signing I do hope that we aren't focussing our efforts on him and missing out on other guys in the process.

Really good signing if this happens. Just need to make sure we have a zone blocking line similar to what he had in Houston. I'm leaning heavily towards Sua'Filo at 26. He's dominant.

Guess there is a report out there that the Steelers is very interested in Mettenburger.

I mean how ironic is that?

Similar last names and they both have gotten in trouble for the same type of stuff.

You couldn't make that up

Maybe they can pick him up in the 3rd.....oh wait, nevermind.

That would make for a very interesting "mentoring" program.

DRC is gonna cost a lot of money. Didnt he turn down like 50M from Denver?

@JohnTelich8: Hearing Ben Tate deal should be done today. Performance based $$$. Most prove and will get paid. #browns. He is still here.

Ray Farmer is starting off strong.

Looks like they hit a wall about money and how to structure it but instead of caving, he stood his ground and it sounds like got a good deal for us.

I'm really excited for what he does in the draft

We basically have 3 1st round picks - realistically we could get something like Bridgewater, Beckham and Sua'Filo

Then a couple of 3rd rounders that could be instant valuable additions - maybe guys like Jean-Baptiste, Landry, Borland are still there

Bridgewater
Tate
Gordon
Beckham
Hawkins/Landry (or both)
Cameron

Thomas, Sua'Filo, Mack, Greco, Schwartz

No reason why we can't totally turn around our offense and even add a nice piece or two on Defense

We will only go as far as our QB though

Farmer is doing good things. And I like that IMO we havent overpaid for anyone yet.
Really we still could do with:
WR, one of: James Jones, Emmanuel Sanders or Damian Williams as an under the radar guy.
CB: Walter Thurmond III, DRC, Carlos Rodgers.
RB - but it looks like we are signing Ben Tate
and a G, but all viable quality starting options are gone, would bring in Wade Smith to compete for a spot as he has experience in a ZBs and was a good player, dropped off last season due to injuries. Maybe another ILB too, but would rather target this spot through the draft though as it is rather deep in the later rounds.

I thought Dominique Rogers-Cromartie was older. He is going to be 28 in April. I would give him a big signing bonus meaning front loaded. I heard on 92.3 that the browns still have about 38 m left to spent & that is including mack! Just a thought. Go Browns!

Problem with him is this...

1. He reportedly turned down a 6 year 54 Mil deal from Denver. Which is a TON.

2. He has openly talked about retiring

He seems like a huge wildcard.

I'd love to have him, but not for 9 mil a year
