The top three names make sense; I do wonder if BA is refering to guys on our own team who are now FA's too.

If that is the case then Mendenhall/Ballard/Dansby would be the top three names. BA has a sordid love affair with Mendenhall. He wants him back. Bad.

Rashad copes some serious man crush from BA, almost blind to the fact he gets tackled under every 4 yards.

Clemons is a name I like to be linked with.

Love me some Neal and Clemons. Albert isn't top of my list but I certainly wouldn't say no. Would prefer Veldheer or Collins but that is purely based on price, age and potential upside.

Walter Thurmond is a guy I like depending on price and Dustin Keller on a prove-it deal.

Other than that focus on our own guys. In the Graves era I used to dread free-agency, now I can't wait Smile

Really don't like Donald or Myers - would prefer to look at Gerhart. Think he would be a great fit.

I don't know why you guys would target Neal. He really hasn't done anything special with his time in Green Bay. I'd consider him a top tier backup, but not much more.

Exactly. We will take his best 20 reps a game on a nice cheap price if no-one else is interested.

Good back-up and situational pass rusher, whats not to like?

I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good pickup late in free agency, but to specifically target him as a top target is silly. It's like what the Colts did last year.

Packer fans absolutely loathed Erik Walden. He had such a horrible game against the Niners in the playoffs that even the most casual football fans could see it. He signed a 4 year, 16 million dollar contract. He wasn't worth 4 years 4 million.

Mike Neal is better than Walden, but he's not even worth 4 years 16 million, which is the least amount he'd get if he's an early free agent acquisition.

Yeah I don't really know what Neal can offer that guys like Shaughnessy and Acho can't.

Well thats not the cardinal way. We will offer him our price and if he dosent like it then goodbye.

This front office works in way that would never allow a Walden situation to happen - who I agree is a barely passable player.

I'm not saying we will throw money at him, or that we even will go after him. But he does offer a nice blend of value and production. Late in free agency is when the bargains are picked up - just look at the cards last year.

Dockett welcomed Albert to the Cardinals on twitter and then deleted it. Now he's trying to play it off as a joke. Wonder if he knows something. Seems like there is usually truth behind it when players say things like this, although the only one I can think of off the top of my head was Sean Smith to Chiefs last year.

Players talk to each other - wouldn't surprise me if DD and Albert were friends off the field.

Wouldn't read too much into it though - just adds to the hope Smile

If he gets cut, DeMarcus Ware should get a Phone call from us. He might be out of our price range, but I still hope we call his agent.
