In roughly ~4 hours I'll be in Chicago until Sat. Any recommendations? Probably try some deep dish and compare it to NY pizza. But I'm open to any must see/go places. Looks like there are some cool brew pubs to check out. I'll be at the Ritz on East Pearson street. No clue where that is.. Downtown maybe?

first point of order is to stalk tyty down and kick him in the junk.

Eat some deep dish at Pequods.

Take a taxi to Hot Doug's (bring cash) - eat everything

Get some French Fries at Benyahuda

Grab a Reuben and a Root Beer at Berghoffs

Grab an Italian Beef at Al's

Hit up the deli at Perry's

Want to spend some cash - go to Joes Stone Crab

Want the dinner of a lifetime - hit up Alinea

Want to hit a trendy foodie hot spot - go find Girl & the Goat

Burgers should only be purchased at Kuma's

I live about 3 blocks from Pequods, best Pizza I've had.

Be near a bathroom after Hot Doug's.

If you're getting Al's, too bad it's not May yet. Across from the Al's on Taylor Street is Mario's Italian Ice. Pretty awesome stuff. Get the giardiniera on your beef at Al's.

Ditka's, 100 East Chestnut. Order the pork chop and the nachos. Coach may be there if it's around dinner time.

Don't forget about Lucky's up by Wrigley Field or off of Halsted/Maxwell.

Also, Jim's Original or Express Grill on Union just south of Roosevelt. Order a Polish with everything. You will get hit up for spare change as well.

Goose Island on Clybourn or Wrigleyville.

I've never been there, but Revolution Brewing. Kind of a hike northwest though.

If you have a rental car, Three Floyds in Munster, Indiana. It's off of the first exit across the border. Get there very early.

Portillo's.

Soo...some homeless guy broke into my fraternity house last night and took piles of clothes and computer chargers.

Don't do drugs, kids.

Alcohol was probably the drug at fault here. Kinda interesting that the one that's legal is the one that is most affects people that aren't using it.

More than alcohol going on in there, unfortunately.

My guess is heroin. That's obviously a pretty bad one, but there are some illegal recreational drugs that really have no justification to be. I don't know why the human race currently has a fascination with trying to keep everyone alive. Darwin didn't become a published author by writing nonsense.

You understand why though.. right?

I guarantee that if heroine was legal, there would be alot of people not on heroine that would be effected by it. Laughing

Can't really have this discussion here. Webby doesn't want people discussing legality of drugs .

A lot of the Darwinism stuff is silly. And little of it has actually been scientifically proven even hundreds of years later.

Natural selection, is what I'm referring to specifically. If people make poor decisions that result in their demise, it's probably a good thing for the gene pool.

That doesn't stop them from procreating recklessly beforehand, unless you mean 'as children', which would be a pretty harsh stance.

Darwinism may* explain how we got here, but trying to apply that to making the gene pool 'better' leads down some pretty horrifying rabbit holes (see WW2), and is best avoided.

And if booze ends up affecting innocent people at an unacceptable level, which I agree it does, I would think harder stuff would only magnify the impact it has on innocents.
