Anyone following the story about that Malaysian plane that they lost contact with? Such a sad and strange story. I think it's a safe bet that it crashed in the ocean, but it could still be a long time until they find it.

Rashard Mendenhall wrote an article explaining his early retirement in the Huffington Post today and it is really a great read. A lot can be learned from that I believe. I've always like him, so I wish him the best in the future.

I've officiated baseball games at both of these high schools. Different sport, but pretty impressive nonetheless. Somebody get Jerry Angelo on the phone!

Lol no, but that is pretty funny (though I had to remove the link, mod stuff and all).

Panama was awesome and a ton of fun, but holy hell it was frat boy central (and that's coming from someone in a fraternity). So many stereotypical buff dudes wearing pastel colored shorts, fake tans, and crappy tattoos. It was hilarious, but definitely good to be back.

So I haven't been posting much lately, and I wanted to fill you guys in. I just got my 3rd promotion in my first year w/ my company and have just been incredibly busy. It's a great opportunity for me, but it's meant long hours and that I always have work to get done. I've been reading up at home when I get the chance, but to be honest, I'm usually beat and have to get things done when I'm home. I expect things to be settled a bit by draft day, hopefully.

Real life gets in the way of this? Blasphemy!!!

In all seriousness though, congrats on the promotions!

In roughly ~4 hours I'll be in Chicago until Sat. Any recommendations? Probably try some deep dish and compare it to NY pizza. But I'm open to any must see/go places. Looks like there are some cool brew pubs to check out. I'll be at the Ritz on East Pearson street. No clue where that is.. Downtown maybe?

first point of order is to stalk tyty down and kick him in the junk.

Eat some deep dish at Pequods.

Take a taxi to Hot Doug's (bring cash) - eat everything

Get some French Fries at Benyahuda

Grab a Reuben and a Root Beer at Berghoffs

Grab an Italian Beef at Al's

Hit up the deli at Perry's

Want to spend some cash - go to Joes Stone Crab

Want the dinner of a lifetime - hit up Alinea

Want to hit a trendy foodie hot spot - go find Girl & the Goat

Burgers should only be purchased at Kuma's

Awesome! We already have a couple dinners planned, but this is good stuff. And bars/comedy clubs you recommend?

Gonna have to go a little bit further north to hunt Tyty down, he's in Michigan.
