What ever happened to his brother Eric? i miss seeing his dreadlocks tearing up the field. He was such a solid and respectable player who made an incredible recovery and made the Pro Bowl in 2011. Did he end up just retiring? He didn't seem to play "THAT LONG", but with his nasty injury I could see him just giving it up after 1 year after the injury.

I didn't know people actually called him Eric. Laughing

Yes, he retired after no one offered him a contract after his release. He did play for 9 years, so it wasn't all that short of a career...in fact, it was significantly longer than the average player.

My brothers name was Eric and we always called him E.J. (middle name James) and his favorite player was always EJ so for some reason always remembered EJ's name was Eric. (though i do believe EJ Hendersons Middle name doesnt start with a J"

but WOW i didn't think he actually did play that long. i'm amazed nobody offered him a contract tho, he had a pretty good season in 2011 but i guess not to many teams want to offer a 9 year veteran MLB that has been beaten up a bit big money as i'm sure he was looking for.

Just saw a commercial where Antonio Freeman caught that ball off himself while he was on the ground to beat the Vikings some odd years ago. i can't seem to remember that fellers name that played CB for us that started doing a little jig after he thought he defended the ball. who was that? i remember after that i believe he was released from the vikings the next game. did he ever get another job after that.

Oh yes, Cris Dishman. I had hopes for him when he was signed as a free agent...the bum. If I can recall correctly (although I may have him confused), I think the Vikings signed him after they failed trading for Jake Reed's brother, Dale Carter.

Speaking of Dishman, he was the assistant DBs coach in San Diego under Norv. Laughing

Brian McIntyre ‏@brian_mcintyre
Seahawks WR Sidney Rice was released with a "Failed Physical" designation.

i know he's on the decline but if he stays healthy he can be a good player!
i liked him a lot, wouldn't seeing him in purple again.

i'd like to think he would fit into Norv's offense.

2009 Sidney Rice is the perfect fit for Norv turner's offense. unfortunately, that player may no longer exist.

Rice had top 10 potential, easily. Its unfortunate that he couldnt stay healthy in MN, he would have never left to Seattle if he could stay healthy (MN wouldnt have let him go).

Rice had elite ball skills down field.

Seems unlikely.
