“This is what I was told, Dan, was that their guy is Derek Carr and they’re gonna take a different player with the fourth pick and they want to take Derek Carr with their second one. So look, you believe what you want to believe, but I’ve heard that from several different places.”

I wouldn't be mad. I watched him and he looks very solid. Plus I think he close to what Farmer described as well.

Watkins or Mack at 4 for me please

I've always liked Carr as well. But there was a point where some thought he might be a top ten pick, and I didn't think he was worth it. I always thought of him as a late-first/early-second-round prospect. With proper coaching, I think he could become a pretty good QB at the next level. I'd still much prefer Bridgewater or Bortles, though.

From Tony Rizzo: He heard someone in the know say it's going to be Mettenberger at 26.

Ahhh tis the season of salt grain taking.

As long as we give hoyer a shot this yer, then I'm fine with it- he really needs to sit and learn after coming from the offense he played in IMO- also needs to work his feet, they were terrrrrible. That said I don't see a sure fire franchise qb in this class, would love to go BPA at 4 and then get a QB at 26 or our 2nd rounder.

I think its hard to judge that bowl game tho. His entire team was pretty much outmatched. His offensive line had no answer for the defensive

I hope Mettenberger comes to Cleveland as Coach Pettine said they want a strong arm QB who can rip it through the wind, Mettenberger to me if healthy would be in the discussion with the top QBs, comes from a pro offense stands strong in the pocket and has some mobility to avoid the rush, I'm all for Mettenberger

One with a probowl WR, TE, LT, Center and probably another top draft pick at WR and RB.

So... Not that bad...

Plus I bet he doesn't start at the beginning of the season.

Oh my....

no to Derek Carr

no to Mettenberger

Haven't we already seen what a guy does that can't handle the pressure and stands back there like a statue looks like?
