He is one of those first round picks that will likely bust. DO NOT WANT.

Im pretty confident he won't be a 1st rounder with his knee issues. He is being overhyped because of his size and the fact that he has decent feet.

Not really. I like Donald, but if he goes before us it just means a more elite player is available for us to take (or trade)

So far, I like:

1. Donald DT
2. Jernigan DT
3. Evans WR
4. Martin OL
5. Hageman DT

I really like Mack but I don't think he'll be anywhere near 16. May I ask who the more elite player would be if Donald went before us?

Out of your list, I like Martin and Evans over Donald.

But say the following are taken:
1. Blake Bortles (QB Central Florida)
2. Sammy Watkins (WR Clemson)
3. Teddy Bridgewater (QB Louisville)
4: Johnny Manziel (QB Texas A&M)
5. Jadaveon Clowney (DE South Carolina)
6. Greg Robinson (OT Auburn)
7. Khalil Mack (DE Buffalo)
8. Anthony Barr (DE/LB UCLA)
9. Mike Evans (WR Texas A&M)
10. Jake Matthews (OT Texas A&M)
11. C.J. Mosley (LB Alabama)
12. Zach Martin (OL Notre Dame)
13. Taylor Lewan (OT Michigan)
14. Calvin Pryor (S Louisville)
15. Aaron Donald (DL Pittsburgh)

That would probably be the most unfortunate circumstances of us. It would leave Ha Ha, Dennard and Hageman for us. But I am pretty confident that one of the fifteen would fall. Especially since one cannot rule out the chance of Carr being selected as well.

In that scenario, that's when you start fielding phone calls and look to the Chargers to make an offer to jump up for Dennard. You then select Hageman with the later pick.

I thought I read somewhere that Chicago was going to start the transition to 34? No...?

Agreed. I think we are in a really good spot in the draft. Either someone falls to us we like, or someone falls that someone else likes.

I can see us calling St Louis already. Trying to eliminate the risk of Chicago taking Donald and work out a deal for the #13 pick. The question is, what will 3 spots in the 1st round cost us? I'd be good with a 4th but they will probably want our 3rd.

St. Louis will definitely want a 3rd and then some. They have the #2 and #7 picks.
I like Donald, but there is really no reason whatsoever to move up for any player, imo. Too deep pretty much across the board and Donald alone isn't fixing the defense.
This draft as a prime opportunity to move back and pick up an additional pick or two in top 100.

You can put Dennard in the class going ahead of the Cowboys, and think that Lewan, Pryor, Evans will be on the board when the Cowboys pick.

Yes, he will definitely be there at #16. Watkens has really helped his stock could be a 2nd day pick after his showing at the Combine.

Quote:
Florida DT Dominique Easley — The combine’s biggest value is for teams to investigate players’ character and medical statuses, and Easley might not be in great shape with either. Easley was described as “distracted” and “immature” by one team, and his discussion with the media that he preferred watching cartoons to football might back that up. Also, he’s coming off his second torn ACL in two years and has not decided when he can work out in April for scouts while he rehabs.

Yeah, he has never watched a full game for fun.

If his knee's check out medically he will be highly coveted, though.

Donald had a better 3-cone time than Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix and a faster forty than Dion Bailey.

i dont want him but that is a crazy issue to be a 1st rounder and at the combine you tank you medical and may go in the mid to late...

That being said. I'd take him in the 4th and let him sit, see if the knee can be cleaned up and let him work with Callahan and Pollack and you got your RT maybe in the new year or 2
