http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000333602/article/johnny-manziel-among-nine-worthy-of-being-no-1-overall-pick

In no order...

1) Teddy
2) Clowney
3) Watkins
4) Robinson
5) Johnny
6) Mack
7) Bortles

We will land a stud. Also if Matthews makes it to seven would should have no issue trading back with either the Rams or Giants.

For how much Licht was complimenting Bortles at the combine height really like the kid. Honestly, Bortles shoulda stayed in school another year. But now, with McCown, we could draft Bortles and have him sit and learn. Wouldn't be a bad idea if we are sold on the kid but he isn't ready now.

With the moves being made Lovie and Lichte have truly put us in the position to go BPA or even trade down and acquire more ammunition to use and a very deep draft.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. Actually started digging deeper into him last night. Teddy is actually the only qb that we haven't been linked to.

Well you know how we operate. Don't really give much to the media until the last minute then we wow people. Teddy I believe is just as much in play as Bortles and Manziel. If we can't get a QB I want either Watkins or Evans.

Bucs announced the release LT Donald Penn and his large cap number… as Carolina and Oakland loom with large holes at tackle.

No surprise after the Collins signing.

Yeah, definition of desperation. He might even get more than Collins, which would be such a weird situation.

Besides last season I really like him while he was Buc.

On to bigger and better things.

Enjoyed it! I like how McCown talked about how he progressed and really seems to have learned some stuff moving forward. With little wear on his body I think he could do some good things here for a little while. Granted we need a long term franchise guy and that guy could very well be drafted this year and sit for a bit, but Im really excited about what we are building and finally feel like there is some stability at the QB situation, for now.

Anthony Collins was funny. The guy seems determined and ready to prove to everyone he is going to be the best.

http://www.bucsnation.com/2014/3/13/5505704/nfl-salary-cap-update-buccaneers-have-11-25-million-in-cap-space-left

Quote:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have around $11.25 million in salary cap space left, if my quick calculation is correct. The Bucs entered free agency with approximately $24 million in salary cap space, and have spent like crazy since then -- but they've also cut Donald Penn and Darrelle Revis, saving themselves nearly $25 million in cap space.

$11,250,000 left in the bank.

I still expect Keonen to be let go so that will open up another $3,250,000 and McCoy will get extended sometime this offseason which should bring his number down from $15,627,252 to somewhere around $11. So there is another $4,500,000 available. That brings the total to around $19,000,000 left. Zuttah could be let go as well and that would open up $4,000,000.

With all this spending we are still in great, great shape. We could carry over $10,000,000 into next season when the cap will go up again probably another $10,000,000 by the sounds of it and guys like Nicks and Goldson can be let go which would open up another $11,000,000 for around a rough total of $31,000,000.

Crazy right!
