Well, that explains why he didn't go to Miami

Browns CEO Joe Banner will actually leave the team in May.

What the hell is going on in Cleveland?! I would imagine that Pittine is on a very short leash, given that the new gm may want to hire their guy.

This is good news for the Browns. Joe Banner is dumb and Lombardi has no business being in the league.

I've always felt that Lombardi is awful anyway, so it is a good move to fire him.

I imagine Banner and Lombardi didn't have much control in that hire

Definitely more Haslam and as soon as Farmer turned down the Dolphins it looked more and more likely that Lombardi was in his way out

i dont think so. it cant be. they wont fire him.

basically, lombardi and banner were all that was wrong with the cleveland browns. haslam looks like he's learning from his mistakes. farmer is well respected. i think pettine had some clauses put in his contract protecting him from short exit. also, i dont really view pettine as anything different than chud- 4th or 5th choice, good coordinator, multiple stops. lateral move, although I love chud since he grew up a browns fan and I loved the excitement he brought in 07.

watch out league. our handicap just got removed

Alls well that ends well?

Odd offseason for the Browns, but as previously stated future decisions should be better with two of the stooges gone (one gone, one soon to be that is)...
