Jerry Jones paid Orton a lot of money, and it didn't help us vs the eagles. I'm not too familiar with the qbs in the first three rounds. I wouldn't be upset if we took a qb

If Jimmy Garoppolo is there with our 3rd round pick, I would be happy if we pulled the trigger. We would finally have a young backup QB who can learn under Romo.

For me it depends on who is available. Are you going to reach on a QB just to get him and pass up some defensive talent? Or is it a guy you had graded a round higher than you are picking him? I guess my answer is I wouldn't be upset if we took a QB early, but I'm not going to be jumping for joy either unless we can get great value.

Way too many needs to be taking a quarterback in the early rounds at this point.

Never too early to look at an heir apparent to a soon to be 34yr old Romo, coming off back surgery. Right guy is there in rd 1-3, you take him and worry about the other needs in other rds.

If it is the right guy, absolutely. No one position is more important than QB and I would like to have a succession plan in place. Tony will be 34 in April, so he won't be around forever. Remember how long it took to find a good QB after Troy Aikman retired. And using an earlier pick on QB increases the chances of having it pan out. I am really impressed by what I read of Garoppolo and would be a great player to have learn behind Romo for a few years.

i don't trust their ability to draft a Qb, with that said i am a firm believer you draft a guy late every year with potential and see what comes of it. The way the packers did back when they had Favre, Also Tony Romo might be 34 but he didnt play an nfl game to 2006 so he doesn't have quite the same mileage a 34 year old would have

Disagree. Romo's age and health should be taken into consideration. If the value is there anywhere in the first three rounds, we should pull the trigger and draft a QB.

That's the key part. If the opportunity is there for the right guy do it. I would much rather handpick value now than be forced to find a qb, 2-3 years from now.

I am a big believer in drafting a QB every year.

Some years, yes, we should draft them early. If Carr slips to our second I would absolutely pull the trigger.

If value is here, you run to the podium and not look back.

Would like the Cowboys to take a look at Brett Smith from Wyoming. Impressed me the couple of times I saw him play, and played against tougher competition than Jimmy G.

This. I want Derek Carr badly, if we can get him in the 2nd, I wouldn't take him in the 1st though, only because of our huge deficit on the DL
