Bengals might be in the market for Asante.

Nicholas can be a good back up. Asante is finished.

I'll miss Mr. Pick Six, he was certainly worth the 7th round pick that we gave up to get him. I don't think he's recorded a tackle in the last 2 seasons, but he sure as hell has jumped a route in that time frame.

We got Bryce Brown for that 7th round pick. Dumping Asante's salary was well worth it for us too. Very Happy

Yeah, I think the most Asante Samuel can hope for now is a team pick him up and he be a #3 Cornerback. Guy has declined the past few yrs.

How much do you think Asante will get on the open market?

The Lions need to extend Suh and adjust some money while making a couple cuts, but they could be in play for a CB or WR in FA.

It probably wont take much to sign Asante. His body is pretty broken down, and he is a #3 at best. I wouldnt count on him playing more than 8 games or so.

Nobody is going to want Asante to be anything more then their #3 CB, at best. To start, he's become super fragile, and has been hurt a good amount over the last 2 seasons or so and a lot of the times it seemed to have been an issue with his shoulder if I remember correct.. so with him favoring the bum shoulder a lot, his horrific tackling changed to no tackling whatsoever.. but he's always good to jump some routes and that will never change with him.

This.

Nicholas can be a solid backup and starter if need be. He can rack up tackles but is trash in coverage.

He doesn't tackle.
