People who can't afford NFL Network?

How much does it cost?

More than you think. On Comcast I believe it was like 6.99 more a month or something, unless you got the next best plan which is like 20 bucks more a month. It's a scam.

More like, there are much much much much much better things to spend money on. Most of the NFL Network analysts are hacks. I get more football insight on here with half the ego....in most cases.

What?

You realize they've had this thing for a while, right?

No change in the number of weeknight games...

You can't be serious? Laughing

There isn't a change in the number of weeknight games. Not sure what's laughable in his response.

This blows. Mayock is amazing and actually talks about facts and football at the same time. (GASP!!!!!!) He doesn't call Jordy Nelson a poor mans Wes Welker. He has a brain. CBS could do something cool like have Mayock stay and pair him with Harlan. That would be awesome. But no, they will stick with the dry duo of Nantz and Simms Crying or Very sad

Wait...somebody actually said this?!
Pretty sure of it. If I find it I'll link it! But the general idea is most announcers spew generalizations and talk about players based on their name or reputation. Or they will say things that simply aren't true. Mayock is generally on point and does a very good job describing players and conveying facts.

This is great news. I'd always watch TNF (when i remembered) but they never really felt like proper NFL games, almost like preseason games.

They should feel more exciting like a proper primetime game now. Hopefully they get a better set of games than what's usually on TNF though.

Seriously though....very happy about this. Now if only they would move MNF back to ABC. Twisted Evil

That would be awesome. Not needing cable to see any games.

How is it going to "feel" different? Because it's on a different channel with different (worse IMO) commentators?

Bigger viewing audience means presumably better matchups. Never really liked the production of TNF on NFLN, it always felt a little cheap. I can't quite put my finger on what, but the games never have a big time feel like MNF or SNF. I don't know, maybe I'm imagining things. Laughing

Because it's OBVIOUS that I'm aware of Thursday Night Footballs existence prior to this deal with CBS; even my wife knows about it....

The fact that there was Thursday Night Football to begin with is contradictory to what the commissioner claims is his "primary concern". I was simply reiterating the point I made years ago when the idea was first introduced, and playfully questioning "Tuesday Night Football" alluding to the fact that the league only cares about the almighty dollar.

Ohhhhh, my bad that I didn't pick up on the fact you were reiterating a point you made a few years ago.

I thought CBS was already the most watched network. Do they need higher ratings? haha Nah, I'm a fan of it. I also don't like streaming TNF games Smile

I'm not really a fan of Thursday night games but I'm glad they are moving some of them to CBS.
