Colt McCoy, Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb would be my choices. Any one of them is fine with me. Read a report that the Lions were thinking about Dan Orlovsky, I think they'd be better off with a UDFA than him.
I would rather have Kellen Moore than all of them. I think drafting a qb in the late rounds or signing one as an udfa to compete with Moore as the backup would be a much better choice.

Moore is smart and I love the kid but he simply does not have enough to be long term NFL QB. I would prefer to bring someone else in.
Whats a realistic option though.

I would prefer those 3 over Moore but only by a little bit.

What about someone like Josh Freeman? Even worth looking into at this point?

I would prefer Kolb as long as he is cheap. He is talented enough that he should not lose us games and could possibly be coached up.

I think they're going to stick with Moore, draft a guy, and bring in a veteran near preseason and let the three battle it out. Just seems most logical way to go.

Personally I like Rex Grossman as the veteran to battle with in camp, he's got stater experience on two teams, nothing great we all know but still, in a pinch he could start a few games and give us a better chance than Moore imo. I'd like Kolb, but he can't stay healthy.

Rex Grossman?! I thought he was out of the NFL and in his 40s.

Feel like he has been around forever. Not a bad choice.

If Kolb is a backup his health might not be a big deal. Comes down to the money, as always.

The Detroit Free Press reports free agent QB Dan Orlovsky is believed to be at the top of the Lions' wish list for No. 2 duties.
Orlovsky was drafted by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2005 draft and started seven games for Detroit in 2008. He was also part of one of the most laughable plays in recent memory when he ran out of the back of his own end zone unknowingly. The Lions are looking for a veteran backup for Matthew Stafford.

I guess former colts corner Cassius Vaughn is visiting today. Had 3 picks and a force fumble last year starting 15 games. Dont know much about him other then that.
