I bet you could still contact the Texans GM and pull the trigger on that trade if you wanted.

I think the consensus was that no one wanted that trade.

With injury history of Delmas
The uncertainty that Rambo will -"get it"
Cut Trenton Robinson, he has had a few teams and shown nothing- Warren takes his spot

Merriweather's game day availability
Thomas' injury history
Doughty's run-only availability

I don't see the S position as stable as some people.

I see a college kid that dominated his field at times, and was clearly the most athletic guy on the field for many games.
He played 2 years without injury, with good ball- location skills and range to cover the entire secondarydeep
He even manged to do well against some top teams like FLA even though his team did not match up with them talent-wise.

We get him and we have a guy who had almost 80 tackles for his team last year, made HUGE interceptions and showed an ability to cover the entire field AND play physical

We add Purifoy, Bradford, and Warren across our D and we just got alot more scary back there

Sorry, its Friday and I am tired.

Vinnie Sunseri is still on the board. I don't think he'd be a bad pick at all.

Thought he returned to school.

EDIT: He was injured and decided to head to the draft anyway.

Well regardless if he did or not, he probably isn't the best idea if he's injured. I know nothing of Stork or Warren, honestly. Do either of these guys have injury history?

None that I have seen.

There are also a few others out there that are still hanging around.

Jonathan Dowling, S, WKU
Ed Stinson, DE, ALabama
Josh Mauro, DE, Stanford
Nevin Lawson, CB, Utah State (Walterfootball has us taking him in the 5th.)
Hakeem Smith, SS, Louisville

That is a random scan from the spreadsheet.

Thoughts.

With the 178th pick in the 2014 FFMD Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Pierre Warren, S, Jacksonville State University.

Good pick, Mike. You guys did a flat-out great job in not only the draft but in FA. I think we all should give Mknight and Mike a round of applause for this FFMD. Very Happy

We still have the UDFA period to go through so the off season is not quite over.

Here's what I'm thinking on the remaining agenda guys:

1. UDFA signings - we will look at who's available (punter, others)
2. Cuts to a 53 man roster, create practice squad (this is not required for the FFMD but I thought the discussion might be fun)
3. I'm going to do a fun little awards ceremony thing for all those that participated.

We might as well get the discussion for the final 53 man roster going as anyone we sign as a UDFA will likely end up on the practice squad, besides a punter who we would just swap out for Malone. Here's the expanded roster we need to cut down:

QB Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins, Josh Johnson
HB Alfred Morris, Roy Helu Jr, Evan Royster, Chris Thompson, Jawan Jamison, Davin Meggett
FB Darrel Young
WR Pierre Garcon, Hakeem Nicks, Andre Roberts, Jared Abbrederis, Leonard Hankerson, Aldrick Robinson, Nick Williams, Josh Bellamy, David Gettis
TE Jordan Reed, Joe Don Duncan, Logan Paulsen, Niles Paul, Gabe Miller
LT Trent Williams, Tom Compton
OG Brandon Thomas, Josh LeRibeus
OC Kory Lichtensteiger, Adam Gettis, Tavita Stevens, Kevin Kowalski
RG - Geoff Schwartz, Maurice Hurt
RT - Jonathan Martin, Tyler Polumbus

LE Barry Cofield, Jarvis Jenkins
NT Kenrick Ellis, Chris Neild
RE - Antonio Smith, Chris Baker
LOLB Ryan Kerrigan, Darryl Tapp
MLB Brandon Spikes, Perry Riley, Carl Bradford, Keenan Robinson, Will Compton, Josh Hull, Jeremy Kimbrough, Adrian Robinson
ROLB - Brian Orakpo, Brandon Jenkins
CB Deangelo Hall, David Amerson, Loucheiz Purifoy, Javier Arenas, Richard Crawford, Chase Minnifield, Ryan Mouton, Peyton Thompson
FS Louis Delmas, Bacarri Rambo, Pierre Warren, Trenton Robinson
SS - Brandon Meriweather, Phillip Thomas, Reed Doughty, Jose Gumbs
K Kai Forbath
P Robert Malone
LS Nick Sundberg

What are everyone's 53 man rosters? BTW the order of the depth chart is certainly up for debate as well.
