It is an okay pick. I just don't love it. But to be honest, I'm not sure I would love any player here. I really, really wanted to trade down. You could get great players in the 3rd and 4th round. If we would've traded down, I wouldn't be upset by missing out on Roby. P4 is, IMO, just as good if not better.

Oh well, I hope we get the '12 Roby and not the '13 version.

I just think your being a little naive about the ability of Es because I have zero interest in E23....but you get your wish Bradley Roby is the pick

Thanks for giving us the pick, Ice. I think we made a good move taking the BPA there. I think that we'll be able to find a solid E in the 4th or a guy like U16 could be there and fill a big need as well. I didn't think there was any way that Roby would fall to the 2nd, so who knows who could fall to the 4th at those other positions.

Another Great pick Iceman. In the real draft he will be long gone by then. Not totally In love with Thurmond, so Roby is pencilled in as a start for me. Overall we now have a great CB depth.

Roby has a shutdown corner potential, hasnt peaked yet, but has the raw traits to be a pro-bowler in years to come. He also fits in with our speedy defense we are building

Probably more upside than anyone else in the draft...my personal draft binky.

We can add a E and a receiver later.

Nice job Iceman and Serenity

Little surprised we went with Roby over Marqise Lee or E15. Didn't necessarily see CB as a position of need after the Thurmond signing. E15 also would have filled probably our biggest need.

I know I wasn't around so I guess it's not really worth coming across as complaining, but with the top three on my big board still available, meh. Don't hate it, but after last year (when he had a few games where he bordered on atrocious) he's not my BPA.

I think E15 would've been the better pick but we are REALLY deep at CB now.

Yea I am debating about putting Sensabaugh or BWW on the block I would put Thurmond OTB if I could

Honestly, I don't think we would get a good enough return on either of those guys. Maybe a late round pick but that wouldn't benefit us much, imo. Maybe you could flip Roby for someone else's pick but I think that is the best return we could get.

McCourty,Roby,Sensabaugh,BWW,Thurmond. They could all play. Horton is known to have played some 2-5 defenses.

I was with you on Tuitt!

Wow Flux we agree on something Tuitt was our other option at #42, I wanted him but was out voted by the rest of my staff

Because you all really felt strongly about it and Serenity felt really strongly that Tuitt was not worth a 2nd (and I aim to please Laughing ).....my biggest regret isn't taking Roby its not accepting the Cowboys trade offer, an extra 4 and 2 7ths would have been good to have (and we might have landed Roby there). And honestly I like Roby, I just forgot we signed Thurmond and the fact we spent almost $4M on him and then spent a top 45 pick on a CB kind of got to me right away. And like I mentioned before my biggest issue is that we have two major needs and we do not have a pick to the early 4th round. Dont get me wrong I love Roby as a prospect but we now essentially have 4 potential starting CBs in Thurmond, McCourty, Roby and BWW (not to mention Sensabaugh who is our NB). But that is all water under the bridge lets start scheming of who to target in the 4th, I am also thinking about offer future picks to obtain more selections that way we can fill all the needs we have.

Not gonna lie I also forgot about the Thurmond signing until after we made the Roby pick, but I think it's a good thing to have so much depth at corner. You can never have too many good corners, and Horton does play 2-5 on occasion, so that would be a scenario to get them all on the field.

As for some targets my number one right now would probably be U16, but I'm not sure how long he'll last. Man it's excruciating not having a 3rd round pick. It's so hard to gage where guys might fall.

Do you have any guys you're looking at for E's, Ice? I like E20, but I feel like he'd be a bit of a reach in the 4th.

And I am good with the depth, because the Thurmond deal is only 1 year so its not like we have him blocking Roby and BWW for a while.

I dont think U16 fits the same position as E15 would have, he is more of an inside player. I honestly would not take E20 before the 6th. My targets going forward at that position would be.....U1,U2,U5,U6,U9,U17 and U20. My top targets would be U1,U2,U6 and U17 for that position. I would put U16, U12, U18 and U21 in the same category which is also a need eventually.

We also have somewhat of a need L7, K4, K5 (both of them), K6, K7 and K12

The key here is I believe U1,U17,U12,U16,K4,K5s,K6 and K12 will all be gone by the time we pick in the 4th.

Oh yeah I definitely meant that if we drafted U16 we'd put him inside. He's ideal for that U spot in our defense I think. I'd love to put U1 at that E spot I think he could really thrive there. I know that U21 has been getting some buzz lately I haven't gotten a chance to watch any of his film do you think he'd be worthy of a 4th round pick?

I have a feeling one of those K's is going to slip through the cracks into the 4th round, but I think if one of our top U's is there whether we're planning on switching them to an E or keeping them at U I think we should take them over a K just based off of the depth that we landed at K in Free Agency.
