Seattle made its pick at 64 so you guys are on the clock. I think you have until tomorrow morning to make the pick but if you're still awake and you know who you want, be my guest.

We took DL Kareem Martin. Good luck!

We're OTC. 3 names have come up primarily. Since we pick again at 71, if we don't pick 1 of them now - there is a chance they will be available soon.

PM if you want the 3 names. I'll be up for a lil bit and then up early (depending on my little one's sleep schedule).

Need more input on the next selection, folks!

I am leaning toward Lork's recommended area, but once again several people have named several different players in this category.

So input please! We are on the clock again at 2 PM EST.

Wow, I liked him at the combine, but not as much as others, apparently. I figured he would be a 4th or 5th rounder.

I PM'd my "big board" a few days ago, and all but one of those players is still available, so I'll stand on that.

I thought the Gaines pick was perfect. Seemed like a very reasonable spot to pick him and judging by others comments we got him just in time(and I hope we get him IRL). Now looking forward, we seem to now be pretty stocked on the WR front(AJ, Nuk, Cooks, Posey, Webb), and with Oher in the mix with our younger guys as backups, Keyshawn Martin and Derek Newton are no longer necessary. I think we should look into what we could get for either/both of these guys in exchange for a couple more picks. Thoughts?

You figured right... IRL he probably goes 4th or 5th... maybe bottom of 3rd. However, he was top vote getter of 3 choices (by like 1 vote of 7 people).

That was sorta my next move (acquiring additional draft picks) ... I had one inquiry about Keshawn earlier in sim, but he was voted down by war room and then they drafted a WR.

Also, no bites on Newton yet. He would be great in a power scheme at RT. Something tells me IRL we hold on to him b/c (1) cheap & (2) exp. starting at T.

We need to look into cutting some of the backup players to make room (roster is capped at 90 and we are around 85).

So does anyone want to keep any of these players listed below?
RB Chad Spann
WR Andy Cruse
WR Rico Richardson
TE Brad Smelley
TE Phillip Supernaw
G Alex Kupper
DE Keith Browner, Jr.
ILB Evan Frierson
CB Josh Victorian
CB Loyce Means
S Jawanza Starling

Gaines is probably my favorite CB in this draft class. After seeing him play against my school for a couple of years, he has the tools to be a very good CB in the NFL. I personally had a 4th round grade on him though, but he still had a very good combine displaying his speed.

Picked about 2 rounds early. How about Deone Buchanon, Jaylen Watkens, Brandon Thomas-OG, Bishop Stankey.

And you guys gripe about Rick Smith?

We're OTC... going to wait for some trade down offers to come in.

Many of you sent in big boards so there are 2 - 3 candidates that have emerged if the pick is not traded.

Keep your input coming in and thanks to everyone who has PM'd!

Just curious... do you just look in here or did you bother to read the FFMD discussion forum where 3 other teams were targeting him before our pick and / or just after.....

Also Buchanon went at 49 (Thomas @ 69 & Stankey @ 70).

How about some input now before our next pick - that would be more productive than continuing to pop up and "gripe" about moves.

That was the first comment that I have made about the draft. Sent it about 10 minutes ago to the GM.

Oh and jch1911, I didnt see your OP where you updated the depth chart and moved Reed to ILB. Last time I read it, you had Martez Wilson as the starting ILB.

So yeah, Jones would be a good pick. I like his upside and he is versatile.
