Bengals offer RB Donald Brown 800K

We should get in on the Donald Brown action. He'd be a great replacement for Tanner and would eliminate RB as a need in the draft. Up to $1.25M is a great price for him.

Okay, but can we at least June 1st Austin? I want to know how much money - exactly - we will have for draft picks with him & also might as well let him compete for a job.

If FFMD is supposed to 'mock' reality - then would the agent of Austin not appreciate giving his client time to find a new home?

we need $6,920,458 for the draft.

Why is that number so big?

Also not sure why Orton saves us so much, but if he does, cut him.

We have 2 first round picks

Did you remember to subtract the salaries of the players who will be displaced out of our top 51?

I agree. I just need help with the cap stuff. If people can just say:

Dallas cuts Austin. We save XXXXXX amount. That would be helpful, I don't want to mess it up and math isn't my forte.

With Randle/Dunbar on the roster, I think it would be in our best interest to wait with looking at FA until after the draft with our limited funds. To still try and go as BPA as possible during the draft, we need the money to try and fill the positions we won't be able to during the draft. In order to sign Brown, we would have to cut Durant which would just make our LB'er corps weaker. IMO Brown won't have a big enough impact to be worth that..

I'm behind the action here.

1.) Are we even capable of bidding on anyone? If so, who are we looking at?

2.) I'm ok with Hanna for Bowers.

So would it be cool if I used the overthecap numbers for Austin's June 1 cut or is that not accurate?

Salary cap is bad ju ju too me.

I know that from what I've seen our screw up with it has cost us some the chance at some pretty solid deals via FA.
