Ok

I can't get a hold of Zel and I know it's Saturday and it's late. As much as I as want to trade up for our guy, it looks like the majority that have posted do not want to do it.

In the end majority rules and this is a democracy.

If I had my way, we would do the trade and complete our team, by I know we can get in trouble for not listening to the majority.

This is the most painful [inappropriate/removed] thing that I've ever had to do, but we will decline the trade with Houston and stay put.

My god have mercy on our souls.

I am giving my vote to the GM, asst GM and all of you guys scouting and such, you own my vote because I haven't done the research and don't trust my opinion as much as I do yours. What I would do is different from how I would vote because of that. You can count my vote as a yes if the majority of the front office and staff agree to the trade.

Hope that made sense

I don't think the majority was against it anyway. Mas, Abbs and my vote was 3. Horny I'm not sure about and Freaky Nug and DP make 3. I gave the front office my vote so that could possibly be 5-2 in favor.

Is there a deadline for when they no longer accept the trade?

Also, how intent were they on the trade? Would a no lower the demand perhaps?

Deadline was basically now cuz the pick is otc at 8 tomorrow.

After counting again and checking pms,.the trade has the majority.

Houston is posting now and we will accept.

Boys..

We have our man.

Guys bust all the time but u have to pick to win. I like this bet. He is in the best situation to win with the team around him.

I dont understand it, we hada very good free agency, we filled alot of holes in that free agency, what can you not win without in this leage and thats a QB and we have an opportunity to get the best on in this draft.... a QB who is accurate, smart, moves well in the pocket throws well under pressure.... is he not as big as some would like sure..... does his deep ball sometimes not great sure but he is a QB with franchise Potential that you can build around.......

The deed is done

Quote:
With the 1st Overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select... Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville Cap hit: $5,562,625.00

After bringing back Alex Mack and TJ Ward and adding major Free Agent additions such as Ben Tate, Jon Asamoah, Carlos Rogers, Daryl Smith and Phil Dawson... The Cleveland browns believe that we have one of the most talented overall rosters in the league and have been missing the main ingredient to success since 1999.

We understand that we give up good picks in a very good draft, but we are done waiting for us to get lucky. We decided to trade up and shape our own destiny.

We believe Teddy is in a very good position to succeed right away with 4 returning pro bowlers on offense including Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron as his main targets. With the addition of Ben Tate and Jon Asamoah, we believe our offense is very near complete.

We are poised to take the next step towards building a winner year in and year out!

Took some last minute scrambling, but I hope we did you proud Zel

Rough estimate of starters looks like this...

QB. Teddy
RB. Ben Tate
FB. Michael Robinson
WR. Josh Gordon
TE. Jordan Cameron
LT. Joe Thomas
LG. John Greco
C. Alex Mack
RG. Jon Asamoah
RT. Mitchell Schwartz
WR. Greg Little

DE. Athbya Rubin
NT. Phil Taylor
DE. Desmond Bryant
OLB. Mingo/Kruger
ILB. Dqwell Jackson
ILB. Daryl Smith
OLB. Jaball Sheard
CB. Joe Haden
FS. Tashaun Gipson
SS. TJ Ward
CB. Carlos Rogers

K. Phil GOAT Dawson
P. Spencer Lanning
R. Travis Benjamin

Not too shabby

Good work nug and zel (and whoever else put this deal together). We are walking away (yet again in FFMD) with a franchise QB (why can't these things happen in real life). Here are my suggestions for next pick.
