Would the Colts be interested in trading back from pick 90? We'd be willing to offer pick 98 (round 4) & pick 178 (round 6).

Some very good players still left as of this morning.

If we're looking at Safety, FS Terrence Brooks is really the only one who presents good value here. Brooks is smaller (5'11, 198) but very fast (4.42). Really fits that trendy FS/Nickel CB role.. Not a great tackler, but really good in coverage. Could allow Bethea to play more in the box if he turns out to be good and we move on from Landry if he has a 2nd poor year.

As for ILB, for this pick, Borland is the the only ILB that is worth the value. Skov is good, but more of a 4th rounder I think. Borland just oozes 10-year- starter though. Ya, he's short. But he's thick (248lbs) and just dominated everywhere he's gone. He was a major standout at the senior bowl. I think he'd be a perfect compliment at ILB to Freeman.

Also, Wisconsin installed a 3-4 Defense, and Borland just blew up in it.

And if we go CB, there's 2 guys I see for this pick:

CB Louchiez Purifoy and Keith McGill. Neither has elite top-end speed, but they are the big, physical man-corners we like in the scheme. McGill has a lot of potential to play FS as well with his length and speed.

We've still got 6 picks before we go though, so we'll see who gets plucked off.

Since no one is on, Im going to take McGill, since we were talking about him with our 2nd round pick.

With pick #90 the Indianapolis Colts select:

Keith McGill, CB/FS Utah

made the pick, no one was on, he was on the 2nd round target list

Not to show up out of nowhere with criticisms but.. Borland??? At 58?

Too bad we didn't trade for Demarcus Ware last offseason like we did here, right? Wink

? And? People on here are enamored by Height/weight/speed and whatever highlights they see. So when a guy is short and runs a little slower, they think he's automatically not draftable until day 3.

Borland is the epitome of a football player and someone that would bring a toughness to our defense. He's the perfect compliment to Freeman.

And according to Mel Kiper Jr, he knows "for a fact" that several teams have Borland graded as a first rounder.

So let everyone bash it. But i'll take the London Fletcher/Zach Thomas clone and be set at ILB for the next 5-10 years.

Sorry I meant to be on for the pick, just got stuck away from a computer and with a dead phone. But McGill is a good pick for the defense. Gives us a solid prospect we can develop behind Toler and eventually replace him. He's got a chance to develop into a really great man-cover corner opposite Davis. And if not, his range and length should make him a really good FS prospect.

Fletcher and Thomas are short but not slow. I am sure glad none of you call the shots for us. I never asked for a HWS guy I asked for, I don't know, a better prospect.

Claim you didn't ask for HWS, yet you complain about his speed. His game speed is fine, can see that in his film and how he stacked up against top tier competition at the senior bowl. He plays with great leverage and always seems to be in the right place to make a play, even though he's "slow,

Thomas, for reference, ran in the high 4.7's and had a meager 28 inch vertical coming out of college.

Getting really old seeing you pop in here with nothing but criticisms of our FFMD moves yet you never participate. Stop bitching and do something for a change. You got pissed at me last year for saying the same thing last year after we did our Ware trade, but I think after seeing it for 2 years in a row, everyone else will agree that you're becoming nothing but a troll.

No one takes him seriously so he tries to throw in a comment or two and hopes that people will agree with him.
