I think we have had an attempt at an identity or philosopy of building a club. Load the top end of your roster with stars (players 1-7; or 1-10) and they will carry you. This has proven to be a faulty way of building a club. Once a key player gets hurt the dropoff in talent between starter and backup has been enormous and we become a permanent resident of the Mediocrity Motel.

Offensively we are, as others have pointed out, a finesse offense.

Defensively we have no identity due to the changes in coordinators and schemes.

The Browns are such a mess right now!

Not only did they fire there HC after 1 season, now they have fired GM Michael Lombardi and CEO Joe Banner. I do believe they had only been in place for a season as well.

And Fired their coach...with no idea who they would hire.

I think Lombardi and Banner knew who they wanted to hire, but all of the candidates on their list refused to take the job. If you think about it, that's really profound. NFL head coaching jobs are very rare and nearly impossible to get, so the demand is quite high given the limited supply. And yet, no one wanted the Browns' job. If that doesn't indicate severe organizational dysfunction, I'm not sure what does.

Incognito/Martin case is just a mess. Both should have hammer dropped on them. Both are idiots.

Fmr Packer/Saint, Darren Sharper charged with 2 counts of rape. Apparently drugged women as well.

smh.

Then there is this:

@RainerSabinDMN: Stephen Jones said #Cowboys would "discuss" bringing Josh Brent back if he does the "right things" and has priorities in "right order."

Dude can't stay sober and quit smoking weed while wearing tracking device. He needs to worry about getting his life in order not about playing football. He is just a mess right now, and would be huge distraction in the locker room. IMHO

Did he get busted again? If so, what an idiot.

I thought he failed one like a month after the accident, but has been clean every test since then.

Monitor detected he was drinking alcohol about a month after the accident, but then maybe 2 weeks after that it detected weed in his system. So they revoked his bond that's what I mean he needs to get his life straight before even thinking about playing football again.

Well, Cortland Finnegan was released today. For those upset about Carr, we did come out better on that deal.

Carr hasn't been horrible, he's just overpaid. But that's what happens in FA bidding...you over pay. I'm not at all upset about Carr, it's not his fault that we paid what the market demanded.
