Since Matts sucks and can't do his job the tasks falls to someone else.

http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-BryanBroaddusBlog/3-Questions-New-Play-Caller-Marinelli-Crawfords-Fit/5306abfd-15f6-4dee-9145-020b9e129b03?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

On Rod vs Kiffin:

Kiffin was more willing to sit there and play sound then he was to come after an offense. This is where Rod Marinelli was be totally different in my evaluation.

On where Crawford will play:
Quote:
What you have to remember about Crawford is that he can go up and down on his weight which he was able to do as a 3-4 base end. He is too good of a player not to find a spot for him and I would not be surprised if that was at that one technique and the club drafts a three.

Regardless of how tall the corner or safeties are, the Cowboys need to find people who make plays and the group they had in 2013 didn't do enough of it.

Shaun Phillips has a great son.

Also. Pete became just one of 3 Head Coaches to win a Championship in the Pros and College. Who can name the other two?

Tis true, if Dallas can come up with $12-15m/yr.

He keeps comparing himself to Calvin Johnson, and is going to want a contract similar to his. Think that Tyron is the player they need to lock up first as it is harder to find a LT than a WR.

In the past 15 years who are the best wrs to win a super bowl?

Jennings, Wayne, Harrison, Ward. I don't think any of them were among the best when they won either. Dez is a great talent. But I wouldn't pay him that much. That is a cap killer at a position where a lack of talent can be overcome by a great QB/OL/scheme

Edited for what I really should have said:

Tis true, if Dallas can come up with $12-15m/yr, which they will because Jerry isn't letting Dez get away. Just so everyone is on the same page. Dez will get paid by Dallas.

Dez's back issues are a bit of a concern for me.

I agree with RJ. Backs are just tricky. It's not something that can be taken lightly.

That said, I firmly believe that Dez will be a Cowboy for life as it should be.

It's not that I don't want Dez re-signed. I do. I just think they should bring up the back when they are explaining to him why he won't be the highest paid receiver in the league.

As far as backs go, I am much more worried about Tony Romo.

I hope you're joking. On both points.

Seattle won yesterday with 2 UDFA catching TD passes, and Russell Wilson was sacked 0 times yesterday.

It may not be sexy, but Championships are built and won in the trenches.

Or would you rather have a Top 5 receiver that makes 10 million a year while the team is 8-8/9-7 every year?

Do I need to list all of the stud pass rushers and left tackles that have never sniffed playoff success or can someone else handle that?

You don't let a talent like Bryant walk

You do if he demands Calvin Johnson type money.

Seattle won yesterday because they are simply a better team all around, that meshes well together. They also had a 7th rd Sweezey and UDFA McDaniel starting in the trenches.

It doesn't matter who was drafted where, talent is talent. You simply don't let a guy like Dez Bryant walk.
