I think both Allen and Lacy had a solid case to win, however I'd cast my vote for Lacy. What he did in GB, who hasn't had a really good RB since Edgar Bennett (and Ryan Grant for a half year), say a lot about his talent.

Charger fans should be thrilled with Allen though, he will be a stud.

Keenan Allen is who I would have picked but Lacy was good too. If Zac Stacy got his shot earlier in the season he would have been in this discussion as well Very Happy

I honestly wish all the posts were like this. I agree with it as well. Bernard could have won with less BJGE, Stacy could have won with more time earlier. But the way it worked out, Lacy won because of the Rodgers injury. He had a great year. Allen had a great year.

Agreed on all points.

I think the adjustment from college to NFL is harder on a WR then a RB. There really wasn't a clean cut OROY this season with several players giving their teams immediate returns on their investment. I would have voted for Allen but I have an obvious homer bias and I can see why Lacy won. Hopefully they both continue to build on their early success.

Meh. I can't complain about this. Both guys were deserving. As was Warford. Although Lacy might have gotten a tad bit overrated.

But would he do it in a Sharknado?

Dorsey Levens and Ahman Green say hi. But I do agree with your overall point.

Honestly, I was fine with it if either Eddie Lacy, Keenan Allen or Cordarrelle Patterson won it. All of them were deserving.

If Lacy continues to improve, I wouldn't be surprised if he works his way up into being considered a top 5 RB in the league, much like Steven Jackson was.

good pick, Packers.

I never knew that teams outside of the NFCN realized this too.

Thank you for restoring my faith in football.

Lacy was a workhorse this year, how Keenan Allen "should" of won the award is a big lie

i don't think anybody thinks that outside of packer haters...

because it's absolutely isn't true

*Edit - type in keenan allen rookie of year into an espn specific search and you get 397,000 hits. Replace that with Eddie Lacy and you get...36,500 Laughing

Keenan Allen was basically a hype train gone wrong all year. And he still couldn't win the ROY.

I don't see how a hype train could have led to him winning ROY? Laughing
