Cleveland struck it lucky I think. Me being a Redskins fan.

He did pretty well with a bunch of nobodies. Produced a few good and great rushers with his system.

He and RG both said. They worked together in making gimmick plays just to get Garcon the ball cause they knew hed be double covered. Simply because the rest were that horrible.

My only knock on him is he tended to drift away from the run during games. But hes still real young and learning. Cleveland has to see that potential from his youth and go for locking him down long term. Cause he hasnt reached his prime yet.

OK, just heard from a second source that the "Shanny didn't interview well" report is bogus.

Makes sense if he is actually hired.

Redskins will be lucky to get a 3rd rounder to many good prospects this year.

Cleveland deals their 2nd 1st Rounder to Washington for Cousins

Skins get a 1st they need
Browns get a QB who's familiar with their OC and has 2 NFL years under his belt
You forgot:

Browns fans burn down the stadium

Could you come up with a more lopsided trade? It would be great.

I'd rather see what Kirk Cousins can do in DC.

Griffin in Cleveland though. That'd be pretty cool.

Lol. Good one.

Washington isn't going anywhere, except for a few more top 5 picks in the draft. I'd try to trade Griffin and get whatever you can for him.

Even though, I can't see him lasting that long in this league. His body won't hold up with the way he runs, and he just isn't that good, but surely there has to be a few teams that would foolishy give up a lot for him, right?

no way in hell that Cousins is worth a 1st rd pick. He was a 4th rd pick who has more bad game film on him then good. No way in hell he would warrent a 1st. 3rd yeah, 2nd be pushing it but a 1st GTFO.

Hell the Redskins made their bed by trading away all those picks to get RGIII, its somewhat backfiring in their faces, so now its time to lay in it.

What concerns me, though, is that Cleveland seemed to not want Shanahan at first, but then they eventually took him. It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the organization.

Says who? And how are they privvy to the info? (yep I said privvy-sp)

I heard a local guy here saying he doesn't know where that came from and that he heard it went well.

I love this hiring, BTW.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000321397/article/kyle-shanahan-to-be-cleveland-browns-next-oc

"According to Rapoport, two days ago the team had moved on from Shanahan after he was very blunt and honest in his interview. Apparently the Browns were initially turned off, but reconsidered."

What did he say, that he didn't want to coach there? Laughing

Reminds me of NBA2K14 when you have to sitdown with the GM for 3 potential draft teams and they ask you loaded questions like "do you want to be here" Laughing

BTW I think Shanny will do great in Cleveland, I liked him a lot in Houston as our QBs coach ... did wonders with Schaub (did ok as O-coord). Plus he'll have the advantage on their divisional rival since he knows Kubiak's system front to back.

Draft Sammy at #4. Then BQBA at #26 or in the 2nd depending on how many are still on the board. Cameron and a new possession guy to replace Bess (think Joe Jurevicius). Then acquire or draft a #1 RB and some strength on the right side of the OL and then we're good to go. All can be accomplished by early May.

GO BROWNS!!!!!

He's being no more outlandish than you are when you continuously pick RGIII to be a top 3 QB for years to come.

I actually think that Kyle Shanahan is a really good OC, especially once he has some good toys to play around with on offense. Even though the offense of the Browns right now isn't anything to write home about, with Kyle I see no reason for the offense to be worse then "middle of the pack" this upcoming seasons. There is no reason for Josh Gordon to not have another monster year if you ask me.

If Shanny reunites with Schaub, I can see Gordon having a monster year. One thing Shanny is good at is scheming to his player's strengths. What does Cleveland's TE situation look like?
