Wonder how much Robert Quinn will get when he destroys Russell Wilson. Wink

Seriously though, I think it's a good hire. He fits nicely with them, his scheme should work just fine with that monstrous front 4. I like it for them.

Wasn't he supposed to be the DC there when Jeff Fisher was first hired, only to be fired when the Bounty Scandal broke ... ?

Either way, good hire by the Rams. Should be able to improve that defense.

I think this right here is the absolute beauty of it. Can you imagine the offenses have to not only deal with our defensive line, that could potentially add Clowney, but also deal with the crazy blitzes Greg can dial up.

I think a defense that forces the offense to make dumb mistakes is wear we as Rams fans will see a guy named Janoris Jenkins capitalize. He may not be an absolute shut down corner, but he is a scrappy player who comes up with the Wow plays when given the opportunity.

I find this hiring to be very interesting; the Rams may have been the best in the NFL in rushing only four and creating pressure. Williams is a notorious blitzer, so I think this could be an interesting combination. I'm more concerned about the back end of that defense than the front end, and if he starts blitzing more than they have in the past, the secondary could suffer more. Of course, if he gets more aggressive at the corner spots, let them jam and bump at the LOS, it could be a very good combination.

I think it's great that people are all of a sudden cool with Gregg

even though they still like to make bounty jokes about the Saints...

With the talent on this D plus Williams, I will make sure I get the Rams defense in every fantasy league I am in next year.

They have been my sleeper team to break out next year as well, so no matter what Vegas has as their O/U wins, I am going over.

I always liked his blitzes while he was here, but he just ran them WAY too frequently. I think there was some kind of stat that we rushed 5 or more people 93% of the time...

You could say that was because we couldn't get any pressure with our front 4 though. I expect him to do some creative, exotic blitzes with St. Louis but nowhere near as frequent as he did with us. Which is why I think it's a good hire. He doesn't need to blitz to get pressure, so he can rush 4 a lot more, and he can also use his blitzes less frequently and be more creative with them.

I keep seeing Clowney to the Rams in mocks. Does Chris Long suck? I thought he was pretty good?

He is good. He is just getting older and his contract in the next couple years is getting pretty ridiculous.

Best player available. The Rams like to rotate their DEs anyway, so Clowney would get a lot of playing time. Plus there is talk about swinging Long to DT on obvious passing downs to have all three pass rushers on the field at the same time. Could you imagine having to block Long, Clowney, and Quinn at the same time? Shocked
