30yo FB is young. He's got a lot left in the tank. And I'm no longer sure we need a hammer lead blocker. All the decision makers seem to love him. I'm hoping for a FB/TE hybrid that can be a hammer in front of Lacy and a dominating in line blocker. Don't care if he only has no receiving ability.

Probably doesn't mean a damn thing. Interesting though. Could mean a potential Kuhn departure. Sad he might have had his defining moment as a Packer and be gone one game later.

Not the first time we looked at him...

Quote:

San Jose St. FB Ina Liaina will make a pre-draft visit with the #Packers this week. He's 5-11 3/4, 240 pounds and benched 225 lbs 22 times.

FB Ina Liaina, San Jose State, 5-11 3/4, 240. Ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88 seconds, had a 29 1/2-inch vertical leap and bench-pressed 225 pounds 22 times at his pro day. He came to the school as a linebacker but was soon moved to fullback, where he played for four seasons. He comes from the same school as receiver James Jones.

We can fix both LB and FB with him. Perfect!

This article above nails a bunch of players we ended up taking. Have to say I was impressed going back and seeing how many of those players we actually did end up taking.

Seems a little odd to hand out a 2-year deal though. Is that normal for this type of signing?

I don't see why two years means jack. This isn't the NBA. He takes his tiny signing bonus. He gets cut during whatever round of cuts this year, game over. If he doesn't and he makes the team, whatever, he's locked in another year for 2nd year minimum.

I keep hearing people raise their eyebrow like it means something. It means nothing from where I sit.

This. 2 year deals are pretty standard. Same way UDFA get a 3 year gig.

Exactly what I texted my Packer buddy. I said UDFA's get on their 3 year ones. The two years really doesn't mean a thing. Not sure why anyone is reading anything into it.

How we not talking about this dudes hair yet?

Looks like a pretty fluid athlete and hits the hole pretty hard/falls forward from that little vid. No scouting reports or anything I could find...

Are people really worried about a 30 year old fullback? He's got at least 2 more good years.

This guy isn't a Kuhn replacement. If it was like a OG, nobody would say a word about him replacing anyone. Yet since Kuhn is a FB and a FA people are reading way too far into this.

Seems like the playmaker we need to take us to the next level.

Should we move him to safety?
