Went ahead and selected CB Marqueston Huff out of Wyoming. Thought it was our biggest need left.

Really close between him and Nevin Lawson. Huff is a little more of a project, but has more versatility. Played FS and CB for Wyoming. Here's a little bit about him if you haven't seen him.

Huff is who I was going to go with. Smile

I really like him as a redshirt maybe.

Nice pick, I just got back from being out all day.
Is there a next step to FFMD? UDFA?

There will be an UDFA period. I'll have to update our roster, been busy. I think we'll have room for about 6 guys. Could make room for more if need be.

Projected 53 Man Roster:

QB(3): Alex Smith, Chase Daniels, Tyler Bray

Overview: No change this year, while bringing in another young guy would have been nice. We would like to see what Bray has first. No use spending a pick on a guy than putting him on the PS if Bray excels.

RB(4): Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis, Cyrus Gray, Anthony Sherman

Overview: Again no change here, will be keeping my eye of UDFA's for this position. Gray isn't special, but is a good ST'er.

WR(6)- Dwayne Bowe, Davante Adams, Julian Edelman, Junior Hemingway, AJ Jenkins, Kris Durham

Overview: 3 out of the 6 are new guys here, by far the biggest change in our offense. Edelman adds the same elements as McCluster, just more sure handed. Davante will see alot of PT early on, with AJ being able to come in to push the field. Junior will spell Edelman in the slot and would most likely be our #4 WR off the bench. Durham was a guy that no one had much interest in, not sure why. He'll definitely be a nice target in the Red Zone. Overall it would take awhile for the young guys to gel, but this unit has alot more talent than last year.

TE(3)- Anthony Fasano, Travis Kelce, Sean McGrath

Overview: No change, will be looking at UDFA to possible compete for a final roster spot. 4 TE's on the roster is a possibility. Also still have some hopes for Demetrius Harris. If Dorsey likes him, I'll continue to like him.

OL: (9)
LT- Eric Fisher, Donald Stephenson, Jason Fox
LG- Jeff Allen, Jah Reid, Rishaw Johnson
C- Rodney Hudson, Eric Kush
RG- Daryn Colledge, Rishaw Johnson, Jah Reid
RT- Donald Stephenson, Jason Fox, Jah Reid

Overview: 3 new faces along the OL, Colledge is the only one projected to be a starter. Fisher and Stepheson would battle for the LT spot, loser goes to RT. Jason Fox provides experienced depth at OT. Jah Reid would fill in as our Schwartz, provides solid depth at both OG spots and RT.

25 Spots

DL: (7)

LE: Allen Bailey, Mike Catapano, Will Clarke, Justin Ellis
NT: Dontari Poe, Justin Ellis, Jerrell Powe
RE: Mike DeVito, Will Clarke, Mike Catapano

Overview: Only 2 new faces along the DL. Both rookies in Will Clarke and Justin Ellis. Ellis I absolutely love, can potentially play NT and LE. Gives us another versatile 330+ pounder with athleticism. Clarke is a guy I'm higher on than most. My not be the 3 Down player right away, but I love his explosion and lateral movement skills along the line. Is able to bend around the corner on his pass rush also. He would also be able to play a little LE in a 4-3 under scheme if we choose to line up in that defense every now and than. Maybe a little inexperienced along the DL, but there's definitely more talent there than in previous years.

LB: (Cool

SOLB: Justin Houston, Frank Zombo
SILB: Akeem Jordan, Nico Johnson
WILB: Derrick Johnson, James Michael Johnson
WOLB: Tamba Hali, Jeremiah Attaochu

Overview: New year, same Pro Bowlers. Keeping Zombo was actually in my Top 5 things I wanted to do right away. Provides veteran leadership on ST and was solid in reserve play last year. Akeem was brought back for another year to push Nico. The 1 new guy Attaochu I was thrilled to get in the 2nd Round. May not play much right away, seeing as we have 2 decent OLB's ahead of him, but there's not a better guy to learn from than Tamba. Might even be able to throw 3 OLB sets in to get this guy on the field.

DB: (11)

LCB: Marcus Cooper, Davon House, Mike Jenkins
RCB: Sean Smith, Davon House, Ron Parker
SCB:Mike Jenkins, Marqueston Huff, Ron Parker

FS: Eric Berry, Sanders Commings
SS: Steven Gregory, Husain Abdullah, Dion Bailey
Rover: Husain Abdullah, Dion Bailey

Overview: 11 Total guys in the Defensive Backfield. Why? Matchups, while this may not be a Household Name filled group. We acquired Steven Gregory to bring in some veteran leadership. Is he a Pro Bowler? No, but he knows how to get guys lined up and knows his role. Eric Berry will move back to FS, with Husain Abdullah taking his Rover role. Sanders Commings will push for time as the 3rd Coverage Safety behind Gregory and Berry. Dion Bailey will most likely just be a ST'er his first year, we like his potential in the Rover Position.

I think we have solid outside CB's. A full training camp for Parker and Cooper will only help them improve technique. Sean Smith is the veteran of this group and while not a Pro Bowl, he fits what we want to do on Defense. Davon House (others laugh), but I still say he fits exactly what we want to do on the outside. Jam and Force the Receivers outside and run with them. With better Safety Play up top, we can now feel safer about doing this. Mike Jenkins was a versatile player we felt could help us in the slot, but also give us some depth on the outside. Marqueston Huff is a project, we envision him spending most of his Rookie year on Special Teams, but he's a versatile high character guy that we hope can eventually play some SCB for us.

26 Spots

ST: (3)

K- Dan Carpenter
P- Dustin Colquitt
LS- Thomas Gafford

Overview: Basically we just cut Succop to save money. Carpenter is a solid veteran, we also plan to bring in some Camp Comp via an UDFA.

Total Roster = 54 (Final Roster spot would come down to WR, OL, and DL) If we feel comfortable with where Justin Ellis is at, Powe would be the most likely to go.

Are there two Anthony Sherman's that I don't know about?

We still have Fasano, right?

edit: yeah, it's just a typo. Okay.

But I hope/bet Dressler makes the final 53.

Damn I always do that.

Right now I'd say he has a good shot in real life at making the 53, but really who do you think he'd beat out on this team? Edelman, kind of, takes away what Dressler would bring

Hi guys. Samsel submitted your UDFAs too early. I cant begin accepting them until 12pm eastern. If someone else wants to resubmit at the proper time in case he doesn't check in between now and then, that's perfectly fine by me.

I wouldn't mind seeing someone brought in from 2B, that's the one spot I could see an UDFA making the roster

Resubmitted.

The guy at the top of 2B could bring a lot to that position. He'd be in my next group of targets also. Really wouldn't mind about 5-6 of those guys. Kind of why I left it out of the Top 3.
