I'm extremely sad that the Bills only had Pettine for one season. All I can do is have faith that Marrone and the front office will get a good replacement. I wish Cleveland and Pettine the absolute best.

Surprised a Super Bowl team's coordinator didn't get hired for the Browns, I really thought they'd wait.

Seems like an interesting guy though, I hope he does well for the Browns, the ans deserve that much.

I was actually about to post exactly this. If you've got a choice between Dan Quinn or Petine, you pick Quinn to me every time. Not like they couldn't wait one more week.

It's a pretty okay hire... not terrible but I'm not crazy about it. He did good things in Buffalo, that's for sure... so as a Dolphins fan I'm happy to see him leave the division.

The main thing Cleveland needs, though, is stability. It doesn't matter so much who they hire, rather than giving the guy more than a year or two to build something. The Browns have lacked identity since coming back into the league, which is one of the direct reasons for their lack of success.

The search is finally over. Laughing

What kind of defense will he be implementing.

With Brandon Weeden, and Mike "Fallback Option" Pettine, can a Super Bowl be far behind???

Wow I was really expecting a bad hire with all this nonsense going on in Cleveland, but I actually like Pettine. Other than the leaks that happened in NY, I don't think you can really find anything bad about the guy. Good hire for the Brownies, though I'm not sure if he'll succeed there because they're cursed. Laughing

Oh, and Rob Ryan not even getting interviewed this year makes me VERY happy.

Best ending to a long-running joke: Mike Pettine

Yes, Browns fans had to endure weeks of unfunny Twitter jokes about withdrawing names from consideration from the Cleveland. None of that matters now. Of all the first-time head coaches, we have the best feeling about Pettine. He is a creative defensive mind and he's a great leader, by all accounts.

Buffalo has a good defense and I feel it was more player growth..
You guys will be fine this up coming year..

While the Rams on paper were better, You could clearly see that our defense didn't take it up another level from 2012.. Walton gave
me the chills at night.. A wasted season on that punk.

Well, to be fair we are hiring him as a head coach, not a defensive coordinator. So who knows really.

I'm 100% with this.. As a Jet fan mentioned, He might be a better

HC than a cordinator.. But this hire just seems like your usual run on the mill, Hire from a bad team.. Hire a new guy, Cut him in 2-3

years. I scrolled my way to the Browns forum, And I couldn't handle the tears.. Too many feels, Good luck guys.

Your formatting is fun, its like reading e e cummings.

So. Much. Win!
