Excellent photograph I stumbled upon.

You have to give Percy so much credit. He had virtually no significant game experience all season long and he comes in off an injury to make a major contribution to his team winning the biggest game of them all. Just outstanding.

And Rhodes. And Jennings.

It's treasonable to conclude that Jennings and Patterson don't happen if Harvin is on the team. Further, the selection of Rhodes is the cherry on top.

Well, that was probably the most boring Super Bowl I can remember, and the commercials were very sub-par too. The half time show was one of the better overall ones in the past 5-8 years. Even with that said, I and my guests played Wii for most of the second half.

two of the several Super Bowl records set last night:

Arrow Seattle led in the scoring for 59:48 of the game.

Arrow Denver becomes the first team to lose five Super Bowls.

Now, I'm fine with the Vikings losing another, if it just ties. Really, if the Vikings make it to the Super Bowl, I don't care if they win or lose, obviously prefer win, but a Super Bowl is a Super Bowl.

"Boring" was the rule rather than the exception for the first 30 years of the Super Bowl. There were perhaps five really good games prior to the Broncos-Packers game in Super Bowl XXXII.

Seattle's D is exactly the reason I want to rebuild the defense this year. Their physicality is unmatched. So much fun watching them fly around and play sound football. I'm extremely hopeful Zimmer can give us a top 5 unit and we can have a return of the PPE to match the LOB of Seattle. The old saying is true "Defense wins Championships"

#1 D vs #1 O record in SB's is now 4-1. Yeah. Defense.

And:

Pete Carroll
Darrell Bevell
Derrick Coleman
Steven Hauschka

I'll admit I was pulling for Denver solely because of all the ex-Vikings on the Seahawks roster. I didn't want them to get rings since they were no longer in purple.

I find that a bit odd.

I mean, Percy was the only one of the bunch who left the team under any sort of controversial circumstances. The rest were just guys the Vikings no longer wanted.

It's 2014. Players and coaches come and go. No point in holding grudges.

I don't hold a grudge as I don't really hate them, although I do consider Tarvaris to be somewhat of a whiner (he certainly seemed to act professional, but I did also detect some subtle whining over how he was treated here).

But, I am consistent in not wanting ex-Vikings' players to do well. Call it bias, call it the not-really-Minnesota nice, call it what you will, it doesn't really matter to me. I don't care that it's 2014. Players have come and go since Plan B Free Agency began. That doesn't change my opinion.

It's the same with all the teams. If they are an ex-Twin or ex-Timberwolf (I haven't lived in Minnesota since the Wild's first year, so I don't really have an allegiance to them) I want them to suck.

What wins championships??? Great defense and an offense that features a punishing running game, and a "short," 25 year old qb who is mature beyond his years, and may have the highest football IQ in the league!!!

I was pulling for Denver, as I can't stand Pete Carroll. But I have all the respect in the world for Russell Wilson and I would like to draft his clone to be the Vikings QBOTF!

Seems to me whenever some of my favorite ex-minnesota players leave the Vikings they have a knack for winning a championship. David Ortiz, Percy Harvin, KG, Doug Mienkiewicz, ect..

I always have to root against them. I never want them to leave my favorite Minnesota teams and when they do leave I just am a poor sport and don't want them to have a good future. Rolling Eyes
